The twentieth name, Kapala-Malika-Bhusaya, is one of the most striking in the namavali. The image is severe: Bhairava wears a garland of skulls. Yet in the spiritual language of Shaiva and Tantric symbolism, this is not ornament for its own sake. It is teaching made visible.
