The fourth name, Kalatmane, goes a step deeper than rulership. It does not describe Bhairava merely as the master of time, but as its inner essence. The name suggests that time is not lifeless machinery. It is animated from within by consciousness.
Elaboration
This name joins Kala (time) and Atman (self, soul, inner essence). In that sense, Kalatmane means the one who is the very soul of time.
The Soul Within Time
When Bhairava is praised in this way, he is not placed outside time as a distant ruler alone. He is recognized as the principle living within it. Every passing moment, every cycle, and every turning of birth and death carries his presence at its core.
Pervading the Whole Process of Existence
Atman in Hindu thought points to the essential reality that gives life and identity from within. Applied to time, it means Bhairava is the subtle consciousness active in every phase of becoming: emergence, duration, decay, and dissolution. Time is not empty sequence here.
