GURU DEV:
Yes, the drums of World War III are beating. However, it is currently limited to Europeâspecifically within Russia and Ukraine. But many countries are gradually getting involved, like NATO. Belgium has joined in. Many small nations are providing financial aid and weapons. This could spread across all of Europe at any moment, and that is the scary part. As long as it stays within their borders, itâs one thing. But many Indian students went there to study, especially to study medicine.
GURU DEV:
There has been a problem there. Many Indian students have been evacuated from Ukraine by plane, but some remain. Just today, we heard that a student was killed. He was killed while going out to get food. A medical student.
HOST:

GURU DEV:
It is very tragic. For an Indian student to be killed in this war is a great misfortune for us. Our students, our countryâs children, are dying in a war. This is not something we hoped for. For now, the war is limited, but if it spreads through Europe, then we are in for a lot of trouble.
GURU DEV:
Weâve had Cold Wars beforeâAmerica versus Russia. Russia was broken into pieces then. Now, Russia is seeking its revenge and has started taking action. Ukraine wanted to join NATO, and that is why Russia became infuriated. NATO forces have entered, and many small countries have joined. If this spreads like a forest fire, we are in trouble. I said before that a war was coming, and it would involve great loss of life. We are seeing it now on TV; the loss of life is immense.

If it spreads across the world, will it be World War III?
GURU DEV:
That is exactly how World War I and World War II happened. One by one, countries joined in, and then the World War occurred. We donât see World War III in that same way yet. There is doubt whether it will happen because other major powers like China, America, and India haven't fully intervened yet. However, America has squeezed Russia from all sides. Theyâve devalued the Russian currency and are trying various tacticsânot directly, but indirectly.

They are isolating Russia economically from the rest of the world.
GURU DEV:
And not just that. Today I heard they have even banned Russia from sports.

GURU DEV:

GURU DEV:
My fear is one thingâthe threat of nuclear war. Putin has given a warning. He said if necessary, he will use nuclear weapons. If that happens, Putin will become a symbol of terror to the whole world. Using nuclear weapons in a minor war would have a massive impact. I don't think the rest of the world will accept that. Iâm watching the shells explodeâ54 shells exploded in 8 minutes. Can you imagine? Fire everywhere, black smoke filling the sky. I donât know how we will escape this.

Guru Dev, it's not enough to say you don't know. For spiritual practitioners like you, we have hope. What is going to happen?
GURU DEV:
Look, donât call me a "Sadhak" or anything like that. I already calculated and predicted that a war would break out. And it did. Now, whether it remains a world war or stays limited, I cannot say. But the loss of life will be immense. It's happening, and it will continue. I've said this repeatedly.

We are afraid of what happens if a nuclear war starts or if they start destroying things in space.
GURU DEV:
Itâs possible. He said, "If I need to, Iâll blow up the satellites." Just recently, a solar flare destroyed 24 satellites. If a war starts in space, everything will be destroyed. Telecommunications might completely shut down. However, countries like India have prepared. If things are destroyed, they are ready to launch new ones immediately. The Indian government is quite advanced in this regard.
GURU DEV:
But these are small countriesâBelgium, NATO, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, Italy. These European countries are gradually getting involved, providing weapons and money. NATO is helping with its forces. Where this will end, I cannot say. I previously said there would be war and massive loss of life. If it spreads, it will be horrific. War spares no one. It is a violent thing.

At this moment, Guru Dev, what is your wish?
GURU DEV:
My wish is for it to stop. I want Russia to withdraw from Ukraine. That is what I want. I hope there is a dialogue so that Russia stops its intervention. Otherwise, there is great suffering ahead.

Guru Dev, we saw at the beginning of the video that a "Homa" (fire ritual) is being performed here at Shanti Kunj. What instructions have you given for this?
GURU DEV:
The ritual is ongoing. I am trying my best through these prayers and offerings to see if peace can return to the world.

So you are saying that if we approach this through religion, there might be a blessing for humanity?
GURU DEV:
It wonât work much here, my son. Religion wonât work where there is such violence. Who is thinking about religion right now? They are thinking about saving their lives.

Does that mean religion becomes irrelevant?
GURU DEV:
Not irrelevant. Righteousness (Dharma) always wins in the end. But it takes time. Perhaps World War III is starting and it will take a massive form. Many countries will be troubled, and many people will be destroyed.

We are performing this Yajna for world peace so that a World War doesn't start.
GURU DEV:
We are trying. Whether it brings something good or bad, something will happen. We shouldnât stop our efforts; we must keep trying so that the world finds peace.

That time was different. You cannot compare the two. The war in the Mahabharata was born of violence, greed, and ego, but it was limited to a single field. It didn't spread everywhere. But this is destroying civilian populations. Countries are being attacked, shells are being fired, and innocent people are dying. No one is saying anything; no one is coming forward to stop it effectively. World War II happened because of the weakness of the League of Nations. Now letâs see what happens with World War III.
