Devotee:
Respectful greetings to all. Paying my respects to the spiritual masters, I begin today's episode. A warm welcome to all our viewers, both old and new, on the Gupto Sadhak Shyamakhapa YouTube channel. Guru Dev, my respects to you.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Blessings to you.
Devotee:
Guru Dev, today I want to discuss a very significant topic, something quite rare. We've heard that a major celestial event is occurring on April 8th. Could you please enlighten us on that?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I'm not sure if "celestial" is the right word, but it is a major eclipse. This eclipse will turn parts of the world dark. For us, it will be nighttime, so we won't see it. However, those in daylight—especially in Canada, the United States, and other North American countries—will witness it. They are already taking precautions because they haven't faced such a massive event in a long time. Schools and colleges are being closed.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
The 2024 eclipse is very important. Given the current planetary positions and Saturn's influence, I can say without a doubt that this is an ominous eclipse. Its effects will be felt globally, even by those who don't see it. It isn't as if those who see it will suffer and those who don't will be safe. The Sun is one. While science has its own view, from a spiritual perspective, a total solar eclipse is not a good sign. It will last about seven and a half minutes—a considerable duration.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
The media may downplay it, but this event has deep significance. We are calling 2024 the "year of death." Many lives will be lost. It has already begun and will intensify toward the middle or end of the year.
Devotee:
Could people die specifically because of this total solar eclipse?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
One cannot say for certain. Neither science nor spirituality can give a definitive answer, but something major is coming. It is said that 2024 might see the loss of half the world's population. A virus or germ named "Jambo" is reportedly emerging from melting ice after being trapped for 30,000 to 40,000 years. It is said to be much worse than Corona. This is what scientists are saying.
Devotee:
Guru Dev, during a total solar eclipse, a white, smoky layer appears around the Sun, causing darkness. I've heard this layer referred to as the "Corona."
Devotee:
We have with us Dr. Babu, a specialist from Chhattisgarh. Being a doctor and a man of science, could you explain the difference between this solar "Corona" and the virus we know?
Doctor:
Respects to Guru Dev. Please do not confuse the solar Corona with the COVID-19 virus. This "Corona" is a layer or an atmosphere. Just as clouds can block the sun, this is a technical term for the Sun's outer atmosphere.
Doctor:
Radiation is the key issue here. We haven't yet been able to measure the true intensity of the sun's rays from morning to evening. Consider how sunlight affects us. People in North America or Europe get very little Vitamin D from the sun. In South Asia, we get plenty. This affects our skin color; we have more melanin or pigment, while they are fair or pale. It's all the sun's influence.
Doctor:
Vitamin D is so vital that people in Europe take sunbaths. In India, we get so much sun that we often experience sunburnt skin. When this radiation is interrupted, particularly by an eclipse, harmful radiation like UV rays can increase.
Doctor:
Think of a cancer patient undergoing radiotherapy. Even when used for healing, it causes loss of appetite, hair loss, and extreme weakness. If controlled radiation does that, imagine the impact of "bad" radiation during an eclipse.
Doctor:
Our elders advised against eating during an eclipse. Medically, this makes sense because the air can become contaminated. Just as a virus in China affected the whole world, an eclipse has global consequences. Following traditional rules—like not eating or using the bathroom during an eclipse—can help prevent illnesses.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Exactly. Our elders warned that during an eclipse, one should not eat or use the bathroom. Pregnant women were told not to cut anything, as it was believed it could lead to birth defects like a cleft lip.
Doctor:
Modern media might call these "superstitions," but they are based on ancient wisdom. Using the bathroom can lead to prostate or urinary issues, and eating during this time can cause stomach problems because certain bacteria become active. If the Sun's rays are compromised, everyone is affected. Following the rules established since ancient times is for our own benefit.
Devotee:
Friends, both science and spirituality are pointing toward the same precautions. Before we conclude, a quick announcement: our temple remains closed on Saturdays, Sundays, Amavasya, Purnima, and Ekadashi. Please plan your visits accordingly to avoid disappointment, as Guru Dev does not take sessions on these days.
Devotee:
Thank you. Respects to Guru Dev and to all our viewers.
