Interviewer: My respects, Guru Dev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Blessings, son.
Interviewer: Guru Dev, it's wonderful to see you at the cremation grounds today. Many people have gathered, and it seems like you're here for a special reason—perhaps some kind of development?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Yes. Anshuman is here. He lives in Uttarakhand and, as a doctor, he can only visit once a year. He rarely gets time off, so during this break, he came to see me. I felt he had reached a level of spiritual completeness, so I presented him with a certificate of recognition. It's not that he attains Siddhai (spiritual perfection) just because I say so, but this certificate is an acknowledgment—an inspiration for him to do even better. That is my only goal: for him to grow even further.
Interviewer: I see.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I gave him this certificate to encourage his practice. You've seen it; it's an official recognition. I've granted this to him so that he can achieve even greater things in the future. Shall I read what's written?
Interviewer: Yes, please.
Anshuman: The certificate is in both Bengali and English. I'll read the Bengali version: "Shantikunj, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road, Dakshin Jagatdal, Narendrapur, Kolkata, West Bengal, 700149. From Shivansha Gupta Sadhak Shyama Khepa. With great joy, I declare that my dear disciple, Sriman Anshuman Chowdhury, through long and dedicated hard work, continuous study, and self-sacrifice, has finally reached his desired goal. He has achieved high-level success in various forms of spiritual practice, including Shaiva Siddha, Matri Siddha, Hatha Yoga, Kriya Yoga, Chakra Sadhana, and Vak Siddhai. Now, as a Guru and on behalf of my ashram, I knowingly grant 'Siddhai' to my dear disciple. From this day forward, he shall be regarded as a true Siddha Yogi and will be known to the public as Shivansha Gupta Sadhak Bamananda Khepa."
Guru Shyama Khyapa: That's right. There's nothing wrong with that. He deserves it. He lives far away in Uttarakhand, and my main wish is for him to excel. He is striving for it. He has become a Siddha Yogi now, and in the future, he will be an even greater one. I don't have many disciples—true Siddha Yogis are rare.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Among them is Sujit Kar. I will give him his recognition later; not immediately. A certificate isn't enough for him; I will give him something more substantial later. I'm keeping an eye on him. I have something special for him that he doesn't know about yet. Just as I've given it to Anshuman, I will give it to him as a Siddha Yogi one day. He has already attained Siddhai, so I must acknowledge him as well. I've recognized Anshuman today, and I'll recognize Sujit soon.
Interviewer: We are very happy that you've started coming here again.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Well, my health isn't great, to be honest. I don't have my old strength yet. My hands and feet tremble, and I have trouble walking. I wouldn't say I'm fully recovered, but I'm doing a bit better. And I love the cremation grounds—I feel at peace here. That's why being here doesn't bother me. However, it causes some friction at home. They want me to come and go at specific times—my wife and son say I can only stay for an hour, things like that. But I've never been one to follow anyone else's rules. I have my own essence, my own way of being. I don't let anyone into my space, and I don't interfere with theirs. I walk my own path.
Interviewer: Guru Dev, could you explain what Siddhai actually is? Just so common people can understand.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Siddhai is about achieving perfection in a specific discipline. As he read out, there are eight types of Yoga. Anshuman has attained Siddhai in all eight. These things don't happen overnight; they take a tremendous amount of time. He hasn't just started today; he's been practicing for years. Sujit Kar has also been practicing for 15 or 16 years. He's within my circle, and I'm watching him closely. Anshuman came from Uttarakhand and will be leaving soon. He comes once a year to pay his respects to his Guru.
Interviewer: Understood, Guru Dev. We won't trouble you with more questions. Thank you so much. My respects.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Blessings to you.
