Disciple: Greetings, Gurudev.
Gurudev: Greetings, son. Tell me.
Disciple: Gurudev, we saw an example of nature's disturbance on the 7th of last month. You had actually given a premonition about it a few days before that. But currently, along with humanity, nature is also becoming increasingly restless. How can nature find the path from this restlessness to peace?
Gurudev: The thing is, I see so many people here every day. Truly decent, civilized, and highly educated people come here. I see them in a state of bewilderment. They come and speak as if everything is lost, as if nothing remains.
Gurudev: In reality, some people have court cases going on; for some, the wife has left; for others, the husband or the son has left. These are major issues for them. Then there are illnesses—cancer, terrible diseases, polio. I receive so many such cases. Now, I am a man of the spiritual line; it’s not possible for me to handle everything. These are medical matters, yet they come to me saying, "We’ve seen many doctors but couldn't find a cure. We’ve come to you as a last resort."
Gurudev: But I notice that people are in a state of frenzy, and nature is the same. Look at the weather; it shouldn’t be this hot right now. The temperature has reached 36-37 degrees Celsius, and it’s only the month of Falgun [February-March]. What will happen later? When it hits 45-50 degrees, there will be an outcry for mercy. Even now, people can’t sit in the sun or go out; they are drenched in sweat. It’s an intolerable state of nature.
Gurudev: And humans are reacting the same way. Nature is controlling man—there's no doubt about that. Just as nature has become erratic, humans have no stability either. They are wandering around in a frenzy, going here and there.
Gurudev: If there is such a crowd here with me, imagine how many people are visiting other places. A vast majority of people are running after amulets, charms, and saints. They go from one place to another. There are crowds everywhere. Many people come from Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kerala, and other places. But they don't have this level of restlessness. Their only request is, "You are the top spiritual person in this country/continent; I have come just for your blessings. I don't want anything else. I saw you on YouTube and came for a blessing."
Gurudev: But the frenzy I see in West Bengal... sometimes I get very angry and speak harshly to people. My own health isn't good; I am quite ill. People know this, yet every morning at 10:00 AM, I see a hundred people standing there. It's not possible for me to see a hundred people. I try to see five or ten. But daily, 50 to 100 people are waiting.
Gurudev: And most of them aren't here for anything great—just petty matters, mostly household unrest. I tell them, "Resolve your household peace at home. Don't bring your family troubles to this crematorium [Shashan]." I tell them clearly: "Don't bring your family's unrest to me or to the crematorium. You can adjust these things yourselves if you want." You don't need amulets or charms for that. But even then, they insist, "No, I can't handle it, this and that..."
Gurudev: Then there’s the fear of ghosts. Last night, I had to perform an exorcism for a girl. She was so terrified. She was possessed by a Jinn—I realized it was a Jinn. She was crying so much, saying, "Gurudev, will I not live? What wrong have I done?" I told her to come back in the morning, and I would cleanse her. I did that for her. So, there’s this element of ghosts and spirits too.
Gurudev: Next come the cancer patients. So many are coming. I tell them, "Go see a doctor. I can't cure cancer even if I die trying." They say, "Just give us something, a blessing, so we can feel better." I give them something or bless them, and they leave satisfied. Then there are those who can't have children; they also crowd around me.
Gurudev: So many responsibilities are falling on one person's shoulders. I don't have the capacity to handle it all. I give a few things for free—effective items—and they work. Today, someone came and said, "You gave me something, and it worked. What should I do now?" I told them to return the item. I give important items that are quite active, but I tell them, "You can't keep this. Once the work is done, return it to me." Many people return them, offer prayers to the Mother [Deity], and leave.
Gurudev: Sometimes I get angry because the deity doesn't "eat" or "wear" anything, so why do you bring these things? Why bring sweets and fruits? I scold them. I scolded a boy yesterday: "Why are you wasting your money? Money is a resource. I can see you are wandering in a frenzy. You come every day and sit before the Mother. Do you think giving her fruit will fix everything?"
Gurudev: The burden of sin on this Earth has increased so much that even if you give millions of dollars, the Mother won't be satisfied. Ultimately, God is not here anymore. They have gone elsewhere. I don't feel the "vibration" of the Mother anymore. No matter how much you pray or offer, nothing will happen.
Gurudev: Furthermore, people don't follow any rules or systems anymore. In the old days, there was a system—girls didn't go out after sunset, etc. Now, there’s none of that. People are out eating street food at 11:00 PM. Because people aren't following these boundaries, they are the ones making the environment toxic. Nature is reacting to this.
Gurudev: Environment is a powerful thing. The environment made you a doctor, a scholar, or a lawyer. But now, this same environment is "torturing" you so much that you can't even stand up. It’s all related. Nature and man are deeply connected. If nature doesn't help man, man cannot survive. But humans don't care about that. "I will do whatever I want," they say. And then they come to Tantriks like us. When they come to me, they get scolded. I ask them, "Why have you come to this crematorium to die?" I tell the women and the men: "Why have you come to this crematorium? Go die somewhere else."
Gurudev: I say these things, but it’s no use. They are thick-skinned. They hear it through one ear and just sit there. Someone who arrived at 7:00 AM will sit there until 12:00 or 1:00 PM just hoping I’ll see them. And since I don't take money and work for free, people find it convenient. I hear stories of people spending 10,000 or 20,000 elsewhere and getting nothing, then coming here. The problem is, those who wear saffron robes don't necessarily know anything. They just wear red clothes, and people get attracted and lose their money.
Gurudev: That won't happen here. If someone offers me even one rupee, I chase them away. I ask them, "Are you educated? Can't you see the sign?" The sign says, "Do not give a single rupee in this temple." What does that mean? People are in such a frenzy they don't care about money; they’ll give 10,000 or 20,000 just to get their work done. They want to "buy" peace with money.
Gurudev: But money isn't the problem. The problem is illness and unrest. People are becoming desperate. Doctors and healers are doing their bit, but nothing is happening. They tell me they’ve been to Hyderabad, Bangalore, everywhere, but weren't cured. Sometimes I wonder if science has fallen behind. So many people tell me the same thing. They come here as a last resort after seeing big doctors.
Gurudev: This makes me feel like I should help them. But as I said, my own health is very bad. I’ve never felt this ill. Yesterday, I couldn't even come out; I was bedridden. When I do come out, I see them and then ask them to leave and come back later. I don't know how long this will go on, but people have become truly frantic. Peace is gone. I’ve said it before: peace is leaving this world. As days go by, malice and jealousy increase. You wouldn't believe it—neighbor against neighbor, house against house. There is no harmony. Everyone suspects everyone else. "He must have done black magic on me," or "He went to a specialist to ruin me."
Gurudev: Someone comes and says, "Someone threw flowers at my door." I ask, "So what?" They say, "No, it's a curse! Please look into it, please do something." I hear these stories from morning onwards. I hear people crying. Some are even fake-crying just so I will see them first. They are masters of acting. One girl came and fell at my feet crying; I saw her quickly, and then outside she was bragging, "See? He saw me first!" This kind of trickery happens here. Every kind of trick is used. I am amazed. If this is human nature, how can they sit before God? And even if they sit, they have a huge mobile phone in their hand. I ask, "What are you doing? You're sitting before the deity and fiddling with your phone?"
Gurudev: How many people can you talk to? Have they come to see the Mother, or to use their phone, or to show off? It’s hard to tell. One thing is clear: people don't actually want peace. They think they can buy the whole world with money. They come and say, "Gurudev, let me give you some money." I tell them to get out and never come back. This happens every day.
Gurudev: I tell them: "The Mother feeds you; you don't feed her. If you believe in God, know that she feeds you. You have no right to 'feed' her." They listen, but some still bring fruits and sweets. I tell them, "Come empty-handed. Don't bring fruits and sweets and give the Mother diabetes!" I speak harshly to them. If they bring fruit today, I’ll throw it away. I say many things, but who listens?
Gurudev: People think they will be saved by coming here or going elsewhere. We have a saying here: "Don't pollute the temple with money." I say that because of people like this, all temples have turned into businesses. These people go to temples and have no regard for money; they hold it in their hands like bus conductors. They are the ones ruining the environment. I am just one person; I try to explain it to them as much as I can.
Gurudev: But they don't care. They say, "Kick me, slap me, I'll be happy, my disease will go away." Sometimes I have to slap them, and they say, "Yes, do it, I'll feel better." What can you understand from this? I am fed up. I am fed up with people. I was sick at home for five days—did any of you come to see me? When you are in trouble, then you come crying "Gurudev, Gurudev." I told four or five people this today. "Go away, don't 'Gurudev' me. You have no respect. You only come when you need something." I tell everyone—my disciples and strangers alike.
Gurudev: Humans have ruined the environment. I heard a story yesterday that a new Parliament building is being built on many acres. 64 kilometers of trees and greenery will be cut down. Look at Delhi—there is already an oxygen shortage. If you cut these trees to build a Parliament, imagine the state it will be in. But there’s no concern. To them, the building is more important than the people.
Disciple: Gurudev, during such a time of hunger/poverty, they are spending 960 crore rupees.
Gurudev: Think about it. They say 960 crores, but who knows what the final cost will be. And they will cut down everything in a 64-kilometer radius. Think about the mindset. I sit and wonder: isn't there already a Parliament building? Can't they just renovate it? Why is there a need for another one? But it's a government matter. They think the more people die, the better it is for them. Nothing else—let people die, as long as our things are built.
Gurudev: If this is the mindset of politicians, we can't do anything. The public will have to do what is necessary for themselves, whether it's building bridges or whatever. Politicians will just go around eating up resources. And these same politicians will come back asking for votes. Many people ask me to talk about the elections. But I tell them, this is a divine channel, a channel about nature. I won't talk about elections here. I won't deal with that filth. You all know what will happen. There's no point in me discussing it.
Gurudev: Politics is such a dirty thing; it's better not to get involved. People are restless—who to hit, who to kill, who to catch. This atmosphere is being created by humans and certain politicians who understand nothing of the country or its people. They just say, "This will happen," or "That will happen." The common man has to suffer the consequences. When kings go to war, the commoners get trampled.
Gurudev: People won't learn anything from this. It will go on as it is, and people will keep suffering. But a time will come when people will become desperate and revolt. All this pollution is man-made. The pollution humans are creating in villages and towns, the greed for money—it will all stop one day.
Gurudev: We say that a "True Age" [Satya Yug] has arrived. When Truth manifests, Untruth will flee. It will have to jump into the fire, or under a train, or into the Ganges. Some people will die. That’s all I can say.
Disciple: So Gurudev, basically, people are suffering the consequences of the games they played with nature.
Gurudev: They are suffering and will continue to suffer. They are clearing out all the trees. Trees absorb a lot of the sun’s ultraviolet rays and keep us safe. Despite being so educated, cutting down trees has become a religion for people—cut trees and build houses. Now, it’s all iron cages. Kolkata is now an iron cage. That’s the main point.
Disciple: So friends, you heard these words from Gurudev's mouth. Greetings, Gurudev.
Gurudev: Greetings.
