Introduction: Meeting at Shantishonj
Host:
Dear viewers, on this beautiful evening at Shantishonj, I begin today's episode by offering my respects to Mother Bama Tara. A warm welcome to those new to the "Gupta Sadhu Shyama Khyapa" YouTube channel, and a sincere thank you to our long-time friends for their continued support.
Host:
Pranam, Gurudev. Pranam to the Maharaj sitting in the middle, and Pranam to the gentleman beside him.
Host:
We often mention that many seekers and spiritual practitioners travel from far and wide to meet Gurudev. Whenever we sense that a visitor possesses a profound spiritual depth—a true "vessel" (adhar)—we try to capture that essence. Gurudev has graciously agreed to sit with these two individuals today because of the remarkable spiritual presence he sees in them. Gurudev, please begin.
Swami Tantra Devananda: A Visitor from Belur Math
Gurudev:
This Maharaj has come from Belur Math. I will let him introduce himself, as it would be more appropriate.
Swami Tantra Devananda:
Namaskar. I am Swami Tantra Devananda from the Biranagar Sri Sri Ramakrishna Ashram Tantra Mandir. It is located near the Biranagar station, after Belur.
A Mysterious Spiritual Call from Dakshineshwar
Swami:
Primarily, I am a practitioner of Sadhana. Last night, a sequence of events occurred involving a person unknown to me—an editor of a daily newspaper who secretly practices occult sciences and studies the supernatural. He told me that while sitting in Dakshineshwar, despite suffering from paralysis and undergoing Reiki therapy, he felt a sudden spiritual call.
Swami:
He said, "Brother, I cannot explain how I stood up today just to tell you this. You may believe it or not, but truth is like a sphere of fire." He mentioned a spiritual "triangle" connecting Kalighat and this Rajpur Sonarpur area. He told me he received my number from a film director. I told him I don't know any directors. I live a secluded life, often behind closed doors.
Swami:
But he insisted. When he mentioned the "Rajpur" location, I immediately understood who he was referring to—the great soul sitting beside us. Finding people who can truly recognize a "Maha Purush" (Great Soul) is rare nowadays.
The Nature of True Recognition
Gurudev:
(Laughing) It is better not to be recognized, Maharaj!
Swami:
He wants nothing from anyone. He even discourages people from offering him formal Pranams. He has renounced the need for both the act of bowing and the offerings that come with it. He is a man who has truly given up everything.
Swami:
It doesn't matter if I praise him or say something bad. It won't affect him. He left the material world long ago. In this world, we usually think, "If someone hits me once, I will hit them ten times." But that is not his way.
The Greatest Tantra is Love
Swami:
Hate only breeds more hate. The greatest "Tantra" is love. The highest form of love is devotion (Bhakti).
Swami:
Look, a living soul (Jivatma) has arrived. In common language, you call it a cat. To me, this is no ordinary cat. If people think I'm crazy, let them. To the naked eye, you see a girl, a boy, or an old man. But this being came here of its own accord. It stays here, listens, and understands—things we might not even perceive. We see a mere animal. I see a soul.
Three Months of Spiritual Indication
Swami:
I didn't know I would be coming here today. I have been feeling an indication for three months, trying to find a suitable day.
Swami:
This has happened by the "Mother's Command." Some people might mock this, but I have only one piece of advice: I never give bad advice. I am in a state of pure joy right now. To speak about the level Gurudev has reached would be audacious of me.
A Life of Sacrifice and Renunciation
Swami:
We don't care about "brand promotion" or company tags. Gurudev's life is one of immense sacrifice. Even his family might not have fully understood him when he left home. When you renounce the home, your family becomes like strangers, and only the Supreme Brahman becomes your own.
Gurudev:
I have found that joy. I am full of it. It doesn't matter who sees it or who doesn't.
Swami:
He is always in a state of bliss. I can only offer him my love. There is a song: "If the Mother is blissful, can her child be unhappy?" My Mother is Bliss personified, so I am always smiling.
The Silent Path of Spiritual Practice
Swami:
I once saw a sign at a temple that said "Jai Ma," and above it, "Is the Name continuing?" This refers to the silent, invisible repetition of the mantra. Spirituality isn't a fashion or a mass ceremony. Initiation (Diksha) is deeply personal. It depends on the "vessel" (adhar) of the seeker.
Swami:
A human can become a God, an avatar, or a demon. We often look for God outside, but we forget to look within.
Recognition After Twenty Years
Host:
Maharaj, a question. Did you know of Gurudev before this?
Swami:
Yes, I knew of him many years ago—about 20 years ago.
Swami:
Back then, someone told me, "If you hold onto Nilanjan, everything will be destroyed." By "destroyed," they meant the ego and the material attachments. I don't believe in astrology in terms of rings and stones, but I believe in the "unseen." How much of this vast world do we really know?
Swami:
I only understand one language: Love. It is an international link. I cannot explain what I see when I look at Gurudev. It is my great fortune.
Swami:
He doesn't need to make announcements. He knows who he is.
Sujoy Palit: The Indian Sadhu Society
Host:
Now, let's turn to the other gentleman. Please introduce yourself and tell us how you came here.
Sujoy Palit:
Namaskar. I am Sujoy Palit, a member of the Indian Sadhu Society. Fifteen days ago, there was a religious conference in Goa. Many representatives from the West Bengal branch of our society attended.
Sujoy:
During that conference in Goa, the name of the "Maha Bhairab of Shantishonj" came up. Several sadhus mentioned him. After that, I received a specific "instruction from above." The President of our West Bengal branch told me, "The call has come. You must go to him." That is why I am here today.
The Divine Call: Spiritual Intuition
Host:
Gurudev, what are these "calls" like?
Gurudev:
You cannot explain these things to everyone. They are matters of feeling. He received a call from above saying, "Go there." It's like a spiritual intuition—"Go to him, and things will get better." I hear this all the time. It's nothing new to me. But I was surprised to hear my name reached Goa!
Gurudev:
I don't go anywhere. I don't like crowds. But people come. You accompanied me to one large conference where I had to speak, but generally, I prefer to stay here and see the people who come to me daily.
Memory of Sudhin Kumar Mitra at Tarapith
Swami:
I want to mention one more thing. There was a very modern man, Sudhin Kumar Mitra, also known as "Adama's Son."
Gurudev:
Oh, yes! I knew him. Twenty or twenty-two years ago, when I was deep in my Sadhana at Tarapith, I met him. I saw him performing fire rituals (Homa).
Gurudev:
Sudhin Babu used to practice Tantra secretly at Tarapith. Not many people knew him then, but I remember him well.
Swami:
He respected you immensely. One seeker always recognizes another.
A Life of Simple Service
Swami:
Gurudev lives simply in this white tunic, with no luxury. He attained his spiritual realization many years ago. Now, he serves others by the Mother's command. Not everyone can be a monk or a sadhu, so he listens to the problems of the common people and provides solutions.
Swami:
We saw it today—nearly a hundred people waiting for him since noon. Some even rent houses nearby just to be in his presence for a few days.
The Nature of Spiritual Instructions
Host:
So, the "instruction" from the Sadhu Society—can we know what it was exactly?
Swami:
Instructions among sadhus aren't like official office memos. They are indications. It's about "Ether"—vibrations. Our President felt the urge for us to meet him. His name came up so many times in Goa that we felt the spiritual pull to come here.
Only the Spiritually Prepared Can Sit
Host:
Dear viewers, you have been listening to this profound conversation. People often ask why we film these videos. Now you can see the kind of people who sit beside Gurudev.
Gurudev:
I only let those sit beside me who have "Adhar" (spiritual depth). I don't sit with just anyone for long. Thousands come and go. They bow, they get their work done, and they leave. I don't have a deep connection with everyone.
Gurudev:
But when the Maharaj came today, my heart was filled with joy. I stopped seeing other people today because I was so content. When you are in a state of Sat-Chit-Ananda (Truth-Consciousness-Bliss), you don't feel like doing anything else.
Closing Remarks: The Mother's Will
Host:
We hope you enjoyed this discussion. If we receive positive feedback, we will bring you more videos like this.
Gurudev:
I didn't call them. They came on their own.
Swami:
It was the will of "Icchamayee" (The Willful Mother). Without her command, one cannot simply walk in here.
Gurudev:
Pranam to all. I usually don't entertain people like this, but because they are so spiritually close, I did.
Swami:
We are overwhelmed by the warmth and hospitality we received here. It was a beautiful experience.
Host:
Thank you all. Jai Ma.
