Devotee:
Gurudev, regarding the incident that occurred in the Puri Temple a few days ago—where the centuries-old ovens used to cook the bhog (offerings) for Lord Jagannath and thousands of devotees were broken—could you tell us what this signifies? What is about to happen?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Look, 43 ovens were broken. This is an inside job; it's not the work of an outsider. No outsider would have the courage to enter the Jagannath Temple and break anything. It was done by their own people. Whether for money or some other reason, they did it. They broke the ovens so that more bhog couldn't be cooked.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
But there is another indication here. Cracks have appeared in the temple. Whether the temple will remain standing is a matter of doubt. All of this is happening according to the will of Lord Jagannath. We are in the time of the Pralay (apocalypse). When the peak of Kali Yuga arrives, Jagannath will leave first. He cannot stay. Jagannath, Subhadra, Ma Bimala, and Haladhar—they will all leave this world. The Puri temple will be left empty. This is stated in the Jagannath Bhagwat.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
A time comes when Jagannath leaves the earth, and that is when the Pralay occurs. This has happened many times before; many things have been submerged in the sea. Now, we expect that what is happening is under the direction of Lord Jagannath. He knows everything. He is orchestrating this so that he can leave the earth soon.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I fear a great apocalypse is near—perhaps a pandemic or a severe famine, like what happened in Sri Lanka. The signs are there: the world may be flooded, or there could be massive earthquakes. Shri Ramakrishna once said that at one point, twelve suns would rise, and the earth would become so hot that humans would not be able to survive. The situation in Europe is even worse. Even here, things are not great. It won't take long for us to become like Sri Lanka.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I fear that overnight, goods will disappear from the market. This is what happens during a famine. Everything is available, but at exorbitant prices—like in Sri Lanka, where a cup of tea costs 150 rupees or a kilo of rice costs 500 rupees. I feel something similar is coming here.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I don't understand why people did this—perhaps for their own interests—but 43 ovens were broken at once. No outsider would dare. It must be the sebaits (temple priests and caretakers) who have split into factions and done this. It was not a good act. We have seen other bad omens before: the temple doors breaking or burning, and vultures circling over the temple. But the most distressing sign is the cracks in the temple. These are not good signs at all. I am very afraid; a great disaster could happen at any moment. Do you have anything else to ask?
Devotee:
Gurudev, is there any way to be saved from this?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
No, there is no escape. When the Pralay comes, there is no way out. It is imminent. Everything is happening according to the Lord's command. The Jagannath Bhagwat mentions two horses at the western gate—one white and one black. Lord Jagannath will mount a horse and leave with Bimala, Subhadra, and Haladhar. When they leave, the real trouble begins. That time has arrived. You must wait for it. There is no use being sad; no one can stop what is destined to happen.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
The level of corruption and greed for money within the Jagannath temple is unprecedented. Some people are sitting on piles of money but still want more. This greed is destructive. One day, Puri will be destroyed. I have visited Puri 30 or 35 times, and hearing about the cracks in the temple is shocking. The temple is nearly a thousand years old; for it to develop cracks now is a very bad sign.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Nature will take its course. Every time the temple has been harmed in the past, a disaster followed. I don't know who had the audacity to break 43 ovens, but I believe it was the sebaits. This was a pre-planned act. Many supernatural and ominous things are happening that do not look good to me. I expect fierce storms, floods, and massive earthquakes between 2022 and 2023. I believe the Lord will leave during this time.
Devotee:
Gurudev, we have seen your past predictions come true. Now that you are speaking of such terrifying things...
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
It is terrifying, truly terrifying. There is no measure for it. What can we do? It is my firm belief that when the Lord is disrespected, the world suffers. Watch and see; the Pralay will come. Famine, earthquakes, floods—you can expect it all. These are his indications. He is orchestrating these events to bring about the end.
Devotee:
Gurudev, Pranam.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Pranam, Baba. Jai Gurudev.
