Host:
Greetings, viewers. Welcome to the Gupta Sadhak Syamakhapa YouTube channel. Our Gurudev is gradually recovering, and we hope that within a few days, he will return to his full glory.
Host:
The special purpose of today's video is the upcoming English New Year. Gurudev would like to share his thoughts on how the coming year might unfold.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
No, I am not the one "wanting" to speak; you are the ones pressing me to do so.
Host:
Yes, we are requesting it so that the public can hear your guidance. Additionally, we see the surge of the new Omicron variant of the coronavirus. Gurudev will share how people should stay cautious and provide his outlook on 2022.
Host:
Pranam, Gurudev. Please begin.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
My tongue feels a bit heavy as I speak. Let me tell you, 2022 will be no less challenging than 2021. First and foremost, our education system—the very foundation—will be devastated. Schools will close one after another. We've seen this before, and it will happen again. Due to government indifference, education will remain frozen. The situation for children will deteriorate significantly. Many have already left school to work in shops or elsewhere, and the state of education will only worsen. This is my primary concern for 2022.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Secondly, there will be a surge in waterborne and airborne diseases. In our language, we call these byamo (ailments). These illnesses will enter every household. Scientists are already worried, and in the coming days, they will be at a loss. Disease will spread like swarms of flies or mosquitoes. I have spoken with a few experts, and they are feeling helpless about controlling what is coming.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Then, there are natural disasters. What you saw in 2021 will take an even more terrifying form in 2022. Tornadoes will strike frequently. There will be sea surges. It was said that parts of the world would go underwater; while it hasn't happened fully yet, the time is approaching. Kolkata could face flooding, and several states or nations might be submerged. Look at Indonesia—constant earthquakes of magnitude 7 are occurring. Although we haven't seen a tsunami alert yet, the situation is grim.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
From America to China, every major country is living in fear. This will take a massive shape. Disease will attack like a swarm of insects. It has already spread across parts of Africa.
Host:
Gurudev, are you specifically referring to Omicron?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Not just Omicron. Another disease is reportedly coming. It hasn't been named yet, but it is far more dangerous and has no relation to the current variants. That is what I've heard, and it will spread everywhere.
Host:
Gurudev, you are speaking based on what others are saying. What is your personal vision?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I have deep faith in Lord Jagannath. Based on what I have perceived, it is certain: disease will spread from house to house.
Host:
Will this happen only in India or worldwide?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Worldwide. Everything will come to a standstill again. Within a few days, you will see lockdowns returning. Schools will likely remain closed. Even those who have been promoted might just be given marks and sent home. But what will happen to the younger children? God only knows. Our education, our greatest asset, is slipping away from us.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Where lakhs of people gather, no restrictions work. You cannot control a crowd at a religious fair or a pilgrimage site. The riverbanks of the Ganges are open from all sides; people can come from anywhere. It is impossible to control.
Host:
So you are saying that as crowds increase, the disease will spread automatically?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Exactly. One person's decision can cause suffering for thousands.
Host:
But Gurudev, if I keep my own house safe—if I choose not to go out—will that help?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
That is a personal choice, and it would be for the best. I said the same thing last time: stay home as much as possible and practice restraint. That is what is needed. But people don't understand. Masks have vanished; no one is wearing them. None of the rules are being followed.
Host:
We should try to stay home and avoid crowds.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I would be happy if that happened, but it isn't happening.
Host:
Gurudev, you've given us a forecast for 2022, which is quite concerning. But won't you offer a message of blessing and hope for the people?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Of course I will. That is my purpose. During the two years of COVID, I performed many rituals and sacrificial fires (Hom-Yajna) for the well-being of the people. We will not sit idle. We will try to resist this through spiritual means. We have mitigated much already through our prayers and rituals.
Host:
Yes, Gurudev, the "third wave" that was expected after Delta didn't manifest as severely as predicted. You mentioned then that spiritual efforts helped.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Yes, and while Omicron is being called the third wave, it may not be the most significant threat. As I said, a new, unnamed disease is on the horizon. I can see a lot of illness ahead. Households will be affected; hospitals will be full. Even now, so many people come to me saying a family member is in the hospital or on dialysis. It is beyond imagination.
Host:
So, a specific new disease is coming?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Yes, it is coming. Scientists are worried for a reason. I have spoken to many doctors and experts who share their concerns with me. We will do our part through our spiritual path. We will fight it.
Host:
Since the New Year starts tomorrow, please give everyone your blessings.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I will bless everyone, but when I see darkness ahead, it is hard to find the words. I see a difficult time approaching. Nature is displeased; it is angry.
Host:
Even so, people live on hope.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I don't see much light yet; I still see darkness. But I will always bless those who come to me. I want everyone to stay well. May 2022 pass as safely as possible. May the misfortune fade and people find peace. That is my prayer to God.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
One final thing I will tell everyone: respect the sea and the mountains. Do not rush to the sea or climb the mountains impulsively this year. Be very careful of natural disasters in those areas.
