Narrator: Greetings. Our Gurudev is the spiritual practitioner, Sri Sri Shyama Khapa. His ashram, named "Shanti Kunj," is located at the Raipur cremation grounds. He has been engaged in spiritual practice for 40 years. Through his divine vision, he has attained profound knowledge, and he has shared these words of wisdom on YouTube for the welfare of the world.
Narrator: At the Shanti Kunj Ashram, he is performing a 1,000-day Maha Mrityunjaya Yagya for world peace. He continues to perform prayers, penance, and rituals for the well-being of the general public. People from various corners of the world visit the ashram to receive Shyama Khapa's blessings and initiation. New insights often emerge through these dialogues; listen now as Shyama Khapa discusses a new topic.
Interviewer: Gurudev, let's go. We see that even amidst your busy schedule, a devotee has arrived to see you.
Shyama Khapa: Yes. In the current environment, their responsibility is the greatest of all. He has come to check on me, to see how I am doing. He loves me dearly. Whether he is a police officer or anyone else, he has a very simple heart. He calls me "Father" and respects me as his Guru; that is how much he loves me. He doesn't usually come here in uniform—he typically wears simple clothes—but he visits often to look after me. He keeps a constant eye on whether I am okay or if I'm facing any difficulties.
Interviewer: Gurudev, please bless your disciple. We would like to capture this moment.
Shyama Khapa: I have blessed him my whole life; that is not an issue. He has come here straight after finishing his night duty. He was stationed at Lalbazar all night, and now he has come to check on me before heading home. He wants to know if I have any problems or if crowds are gathering here. He has specifically requested that no crowds be allowed. I am strictly following the instructions they provide. They are the ones protecting the country; they are the future of this nation.
Shyama Khapa: It feels good when he visits. I have nothing to give him, but I appreciate the respect he shows me. He isn't the only one; many others come as well. The OCs (Officers-in-Charge) from two different police stations also visit to ask if everything is alright. They remind me not to let people gather, as per government orders. I am following every single instruction. I haven't violated a single rule. Even during the Annapurna Puja, they provided security to ensure no one entered. This is very important because, in the current situation, you can't predict people's behavior. He made sure not a single person entered.
Interviewer: Gurudev, these people are currently the most responsible and dutiful members of society. Along with the police, doctors and medical staff are also working tirelessly. Yet, some people are not listening to them, forcing the authorities to take strict measures. What is your message to the general public?
Shyama Khapa: My only point is this: follow what the government is saying. The government has access to information that the general public does not. They have clearly understood the gravity of the situation, which is why they have implemented the lockdown. It is true that people are suffering, and some are even cursing the authorities. People are trying to force their way out, but they are only digging their own graves.
Shyama Khapa: Whether you live or die may not change things for the government, but it is the duty of every citizen to follow their orders. Since people aren't listening, the authorities are forced to use power. They don't want to use force—they start by requesting with folded hands. Only when that fails do they pick up the stick. What other choice do they have?
Shyama Khapa: I am very concerned for the police and the doctors. This "killer virus" that has been unleashed... no cure has been found yet. People say many things, but it is a deadly disease. If people ignore it now, one person can destroy an entire family. Not just that—wherever that person goes, they will infect others. We must understand this. The lockdown is meant to break the human chain of transmission.
Interviewer: We have heard from Gurudev. One of his dearest disciples came to check on him. Gurudev is requesting people from all walks of life to listen to our police friends, doctors, and nurses. Please cooperate with them. They are risking their own lives for our well-being. They work day and night, leaving their families behind, so that we can sleep peacefully at home. Along with Gurudev, we also request every person to follow their instructions. Namaskar, Gurudev.
Shyama Khapa: Namaskar.
