Guru Shyama Khyapa: Ha ha ha... Pinaki!
Pinaki: Yes, Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: You live in Dinhata, right?
Pinaki: Yes, I stay in Dinhata.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I heard you got a job.
Pinaki: Yes, I did. It happened because of your blessings, Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Tell me more. How did it happen?
Pinaki: It went very well. Whatever I have achieved is because of your blessings. I have been remembering you for a long time. After seeing your first video on YouTube, I realized I might have a connection with you from many past lives. An incredible pull was born within me. Later, I started seeing you in my dreams in various ways.
Pinaki: Strangely enough, I got introduced to you directly when you called me yourself after I left a comment on one of your videos. It was the greatest fortune of my ancestors that a person like you called me personally. I still haven't forgotten your deep, grave voice. Since then, I have visited you many times and shared my sorrows and troubles. Even today, I remember you before doing any good work.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: If you do bad work while remembering me, it won't work.
Pinaki: No, never. I pray to Mother Tara that I may never be made to do anything wrong.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: If you do bad work, you will automatically lose your connection with me. The bond will vanish.
Pinaki: I would rather take poison and die than do something like that. I pray that I am only used for good work.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: If you can do good work, my blessings will always be with you. In bad deeds, my blessings won't be there.
Pinaki: By the Mother's grace, I now have a way to earn my bread. With your blessings, I hope to progress further.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Look at this—at this age, you've secured a government job. You didn't have to spend a single penny. Getting a government job at this stage of life is a big deal. You prayed to me many times for this, and finally, it happened. You've joined in Kolkata now. Many boys from Dinhata are coming to me and asking for initiation. It's because they know about our connection. Two people from Dinhata called me yesterday wanting to be initiated. Anyway, that's not the point. What matters is that I am very happy you got a government job. I pray that your service life goes well. You're older now, that's true, but since you've found this path, the Mother will keep you well.
Pinaki: Gurudev, as long as your hand is on my head...
Guru Shyama Khyapa: No, no... who am I? Don't say such things.
Pinaki: You are my mother, you are my father.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: That is fine, but I am just a servant of Mother Tara.
Pinaki: In a person's life, the Guru holds the highest position. A mother and father create a physical existence, but the Guru is an entity unto himself.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: What did you find in me that makes you so emotional?
Pinaki: I cannot express that on screen. I have seen what I needed to see and I've told you about your true form.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Go ahead, tell them. There is no harm in letting people know. I am giving you my assurance. What did you see in me?
Pinaki: Gurudev always recites a verse from the Vedas: "Yasya asmin akashe tejomaya amritamaya purusha sarvanubhu" (The effulgent, immortal being who resides in the sky and pervades everything). That effulgent, immortal being is my Gurudev. There is no one else. The light that resides in the depths of my heart is none other than my Gurudev. No one else can ever take that place.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Why should they?
Pinaki: Never. And I know that at the time of my death, my Gurudev will come to take me personally. I know this.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Guddu Maharaj came, as you know. He performed a Puja for me. I don't like to promote myself.
Pinaki: No, you never do. You have lived a hidden life. It is we who tell people about you. It all happens by the Mother's grace and her will. Today, people call me from unknown numbers asking me to introduce them to you.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Yes, Guddu Maharaj came and worshipped me as one of the Sapta Rishis (Seven Great Sages). Before leaving, he said he was very satisfied and grateful to have seen a true Rishi. I asked him why he was saying such things. He said, "I am telling the truth. I worship the Sapta Rishis, I perform their Yagnas and Aartis. I want to perform an Aarti for you because you are a living Rishi. I had been planning to visit you for a long time, and finally, I got the chance. I won't leave Kolkata without seeing you." So, he came on time, met me, and gave me that title. What do you think about that?
Pinaki: It is 100% true. I always say that once someone came to the Guru and said that the Mother told them you were the elder brother of Bama Baba. If we consider you as the elder brother of Bama Baba, we think of Vashistha Deb. Vashistha was the one who first established the Brahma-shila (sacred stone), and later he was born as Bama Baba.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: He established the Brahma-shila and wondered who would protect it. Then he decided to be born as Bama to protect it.
Pinaki: If Gurudev is the elder brother of Bama Baba, then we can clearly say that Gurudev is Vashistha, one of the Sapta Rishis. At least that is what I have understood. The rest, only Gurudev knows.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: You all are overestimating me. I am not that great. But yes, Bama Baba is deeply revered by me. I remember him every moment. I take his name in every step of my work. The one who is guiding me is Bama Baba. I take his name constantly, and he is the one leading me forward. There is no doubt about that.
Pinaki: In life, the Guru is the first and last word. I say this from my own experience—if one has true devotion to the Guru, there is no need for any other ritual or prayer. Just keep your devotion to the Guru throughout your life.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Right, right.
Pinaki: If you need Siddhi (spiritual attainment), the Guru will provide it. The Guru is everything to me.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: True. But many people don't want to believe that. They look at the gods and goddesses and think they will save them, while the Guru is ignored. But we say, remember the Guru, and you won't need anything else. In this Kali Yuga, the chanting of the Holy Name is essential. Chant the sixteen-word, thirty-two-letter Hare Krishna mantra and remember the Guru. Nothing else is needed.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Lord Shiva himself has said to recite the Addya Stotram (The Hymn to the Primal Power). Establish Addya in your home. This is Shiva's own command. If you can, recite the Addya Stotram, establish her, and worship her. That will solve many problems.
Pinaki: Yes, I do recite the Addya Stotram occasionally.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Not occasionally. Recite it every day, morning and evening. This is the word of Mahadev. He said that in these times, the Addya Stotram is very necessary because the Kali Yuga is coming to an end. It's hard to say what form the world will take next.
Pinaki: What else can I say? Whatever I wanted in life, Gurudev has given me. If his blessings stay on my head, I can spend the rest of my life remembering him. No more obstacles will come. I have struggled a lot and shed many tears.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Pinaki, listen to one thing. According to the Gita, you have to experience both joy and sorrow. You cannot just have one. You have to come back again. As the Gita says, you have to return to this world again and again. You can't just say, "I won't come back." It doesn't work that way. You will have to enter another womb and be born again.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: If you can do good for people, do it. That is what we are doing. We are doing good for people. Maybe I have two more births left. I might have to come back once or twice more. Then I will attain salvation. One or two more times... everything is done, but there is a debt to the divine places, and I feel that needs to be settled.
Pinaki: We will be by your side throughout our lives. We won't let you go.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: That is human desire. Everyone prays to God to stay connected. That's fine, I will be there. But I also have to leave eventually. How much longer? I have done a lot of Sadhana (spiritual practice).
Pinaki: There is still a long time before you go. Don't say such things, it hurts us.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I am only telling you the inevitable truth. People cannot let go of many things, but one must learn to let go. This is what I teach—to renounce.
Pinaki: You always teach us to sacrifice and renounce.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Yes, learn to renounce. Renounce everyone. One day, you must even renounce the Guru.
Pinaki: No, I won't renounce the Guru. I can renounce everyone else, but not you.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Listen, there comes a time when even the Guru must be renounced. You may not understand this now, but we do. You have to leave everything behind when you go. You cannot take anything with you. Leaving this world is a great mystery. Anyway, I am glad you came and gave me the news.
Pinaki: I gave you the news over the phone, but I had to come and see you.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: It felt good to hear you've joined your job. Stay well, stay healthy, and if possible, help people. God gave you a government job—if you can, stand by the poor and the helpless. I always say: "Anatha daridra jara roga yukta, maha khina dina gatistvam gatistvam tvameka bhavani" (To the helpless, the poor, the old, and the diseased, you are the only refuge, O Mother Bhavani).
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I tell the Mother to look after those who have no one. We try to help the diseased and the poor to the best of our ability. You should do the same.
Pinaki: Definitely. Whatever I have received, I want others to receive too. I want everyone to be well. I pray that I can spread your blessings to everyone. Please bless me.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I will. I will. It is already 9:30.
