Narrator: Pranam (Greetings), Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Pranam, my son.
Narrator: Gurudev, today, sitting beside you is one of your long-time companions—one could say, someone who has been part of your spiritual life since its very beginning. That person is Paritosh Da.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Yes, absolutely. Paritosh Da has been there since the early days.
Narrator: Paritosh Da is sitting here with us today. Dear viewers, we often bring Gurudev's old companions onto the show to hear about his supernatural experiences or events from their perspective, so you can learn the real truth from those who were actually there.
Narrator: Paritosh Da, Pranam to you. Now, you have been with Gurudev for nearly 35 to 40 years. Tell us how it all began—how you first came into Gurudev's presence.
Paritosh Da: I offer my humble respects to all the viewers. Finding Gurudev has made my human life blessed. In my youth, my heart yearned for an honest man—someone whose presence would help me clear my path and whose strength would guide me.
Paritosh Da: From the very beginning, I loved coming to see Gurudev. I used to spend hours with him in the evenings—sometimes three or four hours at a time. I saw Gurudev begin his spiritual practices at what was then known as Khorohata in the Rajpur market. Across from there was the rooftop of the Bhandari family house.
Paritosh Da: Gurudev used to worship Mother Tara there. After meeting him, I felt a deep, soulful connection. Being near him brought me immense peace. While others might wander from place to place seeking satisfaction, I found it right here.
Paritosh Da: Gurudev used to enjoy tea and cigarettes back then. We would regularly try to provide those for him. This continued for many years. Later, for some reason, the house owner seemed a bit uneasy, and Gurudev sensed he wasn't welcome anymore.
Paritosh Da: We wondered where to go next. Near the Rajpur playground, on the way to Gazipur, there was a place called 'Jal Ghar' by a pond. Mother Tara's idol was established there. Everything continued as before—the worship, the flowers, the tea, and the cigarettes.
Paritosh Da: At night, Gurudev would go to the cremation grounds and stay there for hours—three, four, sometimes five hours. He would return every few hours for some tea and a cigarette. Back then, this area where Gurudev has now built a temple was pitch black; there was no electricity.
Paritosh Da: Cremations used to happen on wooden pyres. This went on for years until another issue arose with the landowner there. Again, sensing their dissatisfaction, Gurudev moved. It was all the Mother's play, as she provided the next location—the ground floor of an association office.
Paritosh Da: Everyone who visited that room felt such a sense of peace. I would forget all my household worries, pains, and troubles there. I can't speak for others, but for me, it was a place of profound tranquility. Slowly, my affection for him turned into deep devotion. I would finish my work and stay there from 9 PM until 11 PM. Getting to know him has been the greatest achievement of my life.
Narrator: Paritosh Da, you've witnessed many supernatural events. I want to hear about those, but first, let me speak with Gurudev.
Narrator: Gurudev, Paritosh Da is one of your oldest disciples. What can you tell us about him from your perspective?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Nothing much, except that Paritosh Da was there when I started. He was in the fish business then. He "discovered" me and liked what he saw. I spent five years worshipping the Mother on that Bhandari rooftop.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: In those days, I had no money. They used to bring me tea and cigarettes in the evening because they knew I liked them. But that house—it was a haunted house. To get to the fourth-floor rooftop, you had to climb stairs that would make your blood run cold.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: You'd feel like someone was following you. If you looked back, there was no one, but the sensation persisted. Many people were terrified of those stairs. No one could ever live in that house. Even the people who built it couldn't stay. Any business started there would fail.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: The owner eventually asked me, "I have a room there; if you could perform Kali Puja, it would be great." By then, I had received a divine command from the Mother in a dream, so I agreed. I stayed there for five years.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Later, there was a dispute regarding a human skull I used for my rituals. The owner said I couldn't keep it there. I told him, "If it's a problem for you, then I will leave."
Guru Shyama Khyapa: That's how I met Paritosh Da. I would stay there night after night. No one else dared to come because it was known as a haunted house, even though it was right above a busy market.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: It was right in the middle of a crowded area, but no one stepped inside. They say that on the stairs, you'd feel someone following you. I later heard that many people had died there, some by suicide. People were scared, but Paritosh and Khokan would come by, share some tea and talk, and then I'd spend the rest of the night in meditation. Those five years were a very intense period for my spiritual practice.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Paritosh Da would often ask me if I needed any money, as I was quite poor then—practically a street beggar. Our bond has lasted until today. I don't know exactly why he keeps coming back, but he says he likes being here.
Narrator: Paritosh Da, Gurudev shared his view. Now, tell us about the supernatural events you witnessed.
Paritosh Da: Over the years, my faith and love for him grew. I had previously taken initiation (Diksha) from the Anukul Thakur sect and followed it for ten years, but I never felt true mental peace.
Paritosh Da: During that time, I faced a major crisis. Despite all the effort and strength I put into my spiritual practice, I couldn't find a solution. I came to Gurudev and told him my problem.
Paritosh Da: Gurudev said to me, "You are in trouble, yet where is your Guru? If a disciple is in danger, the Guru should be by his side. What kind of Guru do you have?"
Paritosh Da: His words were brief, but they hit me hard. He was right—a Guru should come to his disciple's aid in times of peril. That's when I decided to take initiation from him. I have been his initiated disciple for ten years now, although I have been by his side for much longer.
Paritosh Da: People talk about financial power, political power, or the power of wealth and property. But that is all temporary. True power is divine power, and to achieve that, one must be under the guidance of a Guru and follow his commands.
Paritosh Da: After my initiation, Gurudev told me, "Your body and mind are yours. Align them together, and then you will understand." Finding a Guru like him is the greatest blessing of my life. I pray to God that I may remain at his feet birth after birth.
Narrator: That is a beautiful sentiment. But specifically, since he worships Mother Kali and Mother Tara, did you witness anything miraculous?
Paritosh Da: Yes. With Gurudev's permission, I will share this. One night, I was in a lot of pain and distress. Gurudev told me that the one who initiated me—Lord Shiva himself—would appear. I had a vision of both Lord Shiva and Mother Durga. They comforted me, and my pain vanished. I have had their Darshan (divine vision).
Paritosh Da: Many people seek such visions, but they only come through the Guru. If you have true, selfless devotion, you will see them. I can say that I have seen Lord Shiva and Mother Durga. Only the Guru can open that door.
Narrator: Gurudev, people see you in many ways. Some even believe you are an incarnation of Lord Shiva. They come and offer you Ganges water and bel leaves. What do you say to that?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: It's just their faith and devotion. Those who love me sometimes see me that way. People come and perform rituals, and though I tell them it's unscientific, they insist, "No, Gurudev, we have seen it; you are Shiva himself." I can't stop them from following their hearts. It happens almost every day.
Narrator: Gurudev, some people say you are promoting yourself or "beating your own drum" through these videos.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I don't need any promotion. Paritosh Da has been with me from the start; his words are his own truth. As for the YouTube channel, we post things because people find peace in them. Many people tell me they watch these episodes at night before they sleep because they find the simple messages helpful.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Whether people believe or not is up to them. I don't ask anyone to come here. I don't call anyone or ask them to visit. People come on their own because of their faith, and sometimes the crowds are so large it's overwhelming.
Narrator: Pranam, Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Pranam.
