Student:
My respects to you, Guru-dev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Blessings to you, son. Yes, speak.
Student:
Your old disciple has come to visit after a long time. It's been so long since we met with Pagla Baba.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Yes, my heart was feeling restless. I was telling everyone to bring Pagla here, to bring him to me. And today, I see he has finally arrived. It feels very good.
Pagla Baba:
I also haven't been here for a long time. I came once about a month before the lockdown, and now that it's halfway over, I've finally come. My heart was also longing for Guru-dev. His immense grace is upon me. He showers his grace on everyone. Out of my devotion for Mother and Guru-dev, I am here.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
You had to come eventually. My heart was also restless for you. I was asking them why Pagla hadn't come yet.
Other Student:
Yes, Guru-dev was saying just yesterday that he hadn't seen Pagla in a long time. He was wondering what you were doing and when you would come. And as we were talking, you arrived today.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
He is practicing his sadhana (spiritual practice) well. He's doing quite well.
Other Student:
If you could tell us a bit more about him.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
He is a madman (Pagla), what can I say about him? One day he came and said, "Give me diksha (initiation)." I looked at his aura and saw that he was sincere. He had already started his spiritual practice. Then he took initiation from me. He visited various places like Tarapeeth and spent time there. Now he is dedicated to his sadhana and nothing else. He made a few mistakes in between, but those have been rectified now. Mother herself has corrected him. There were a couple of things he shouldn't have done, which caused him to lose some of his spiritual progress. But now, he is doing fine. Pagla Baba is doing well now.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
There were days when he walked ten miles just to see me. He had no money, not a single penny in his pocket. He just came to see me. I realized this, fed him, gave him some money, and sent him home. Such days have passed. He has immense devotion and respect for me. But I felt bad because I hadn't seen him for a long time. It's good that they took initiation, but they should visit occasionally. It's not the same over the phone. That's why I am so happy he came today. Son, why don't you say something?
Pagla Baba:
I don't have much to say. But let me share how I found Guru-dev. Initially, I was studying to be a priest. I was always inclined toward Tantra. My father also had some interest in it. I searched many places for initiation. I wore out my shoes looking.
Pagla Baba:
Some people asked for silver sandals, some for clothes, some for a large amount of money, and others said they would perform the abhishek (ritual) for 20,000 or 30,000 rupees. Being a poor man, where would I get that kind of money? Then, after searching for a long time, I heard about Guru-dev. From the very first meeting, I felt deep devotion. I didn't find him through YouTube or Facebook; I found him through word of mouth. On the first day I came, there were many people around him, and he didn't have much time. He said he wasn't feeling well and asked me to come back later. I came back again, and after some consideration, he gave me initiation.
Pagla Baba:
That feeling—it cannot be described openly. It was a different kind of experience. I had many visions and feelings. His power is immense. I can't express it all. It is by his immense grace that I am still on this spiritual path. I hope to move forward with Mother's and Guru-dev's blessings. There is a saying that even if Lord Shiva is angry, there is a way out, but if the Guru is displeased, there is no salvation. The Guru is the ultimate guide who helps a person take the first step in their spiritual journey. He should never be forgotten. I believe every disciple should maintain contact with their Guru, without any selfish motives. Everyone has some level of self-interest, but at some point, one must remember the Guru selflessly. I am a small person; please forgive me if I've said anything wrong. He is a realized saint, a Mahatman. Words cannot do him justice. That's all I have to say.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
It's alright, son. It's alright. Continue your sadhana. You will succeed. I am with you. My Pagla Baba will succeed in his practice. I was very worried about him, but seeing him today has made me very happy. Sometimes my heart gets restless. I have given initiation to many "madmen," and when they visit, my heart fills with joy.
Other Student:
Yes, Guru-dev often mentions that he hasn't seen Pagla for a long time and feels restless. He was saying this just yesterday, and today you are here.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Yes, it's all good.
Student:
My respects to you, Guru-dev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Blessings to you, son. Blessings.
