Gurudev, salutations to Mother Kamakhya in Shantikunj. Offering my respects to you as well, I begin today's episode. One of your disciples is currently at Tarapeeth for a special task. You mentioned sending him there?
Gurudev:
Yes, I have sent him to Tarapeeth for a special purpose. My health hasn't been great lately, so I couldn't go myself. It would have been better if I could have gone to the Mother (Goddess Tara) personally, but my body isn't permitting it, so I couldn't make the trip.
Gurudev:
I sent him along with another person; you can't do these things alone. I sent them for a Homa (fire ritual). He performed the ritual for two or three consecutive days. He performed the Homa on a funeral pyre. I strictly told him not to do it anywhere elseāit must be on the main funeral pyre.
Gurudev:
I am trying everything to stop this Corona. The thoughts in my head are beyond imagination. The way Corona is spreading and the number of people getting infected... it has deeply disturbed me. I am struggling to understand what needs to be done to make it go away.
Gurudev:
When he suggested going to Tarapeeth to perform these rituals, I agreed. I was supposed to go too, but everyone here and at home forbade me because of my health. So, he did the work.
Disciple:
Is this ritual for world peace and human welfare?
Gurudev:
It's specifically for Corona. World peace and human welfare are different; this is specifically to drive Corona away. I gave him specific instructions to use fish and other offerings for the ritual. He has completed it accordingly, and I hope Corona will subside soon. It won't vanish instantly, but it needs to be controlled.
Gurudev:
I am very worried. I am getting calls from all over the world about Coronaāpeople saying they are infected, they are in the hospital. Even people from hospitals are calling me. I am becoming overwhelmed as the days go by. These are all familiar faces, my disciples.
Gurudev:
Just this morning, I got a call from Malda. Someone's uncle is in the hospital with COVID; they have no money, only 1,000 rupees left. They asked me to ensure the costs don't escalate. I told them I'd look into it and prayed to the Mother.
Gurudev:
I am getting calls like this from everywhere. I am desperate to find a way to end this. I am doing everything I can and sitting before the Mother all day, praying. So many people are suffering; their backs are against the wall.
Gurudev:
Also, the voting (elections) ended today. From tomorrow, you will see very strict measures. Masks will be mandatory; there's no way around it. I think the streets will be deserted from tomorrow. No one will be allowed out. The way COVID is increasing, it must be controlled. I don't know if the government will impose a lockdown or create containment zones, but the administration will take action.
Gurudev:
A little while ago, the IC (Inspector-in-Charge) of the police station and the former Chairman of the Municipality, Pallab Das, visited me. They came to caution me. They told me, "Wear a mask; why aren't you wearing one?" I told them that since I stay near the Mother, I often don't wear one, but I agreed to comply.
Gurudev:
I told them beforehand that I am not seeing any visitors here because of Corona; I've even put up a sign. I am telling everyone not to come. There is a lot of police presence here right now. An entire van of police is standing at the cremation ground. I don't know why they are there, but there's some tension. The administration is very active.
Gurudev:
I went to the police station yesterday to meet the IC and give him my book. At the end, he asked me, "Can't you do something to drive this Corona away?" I told him, "I am trying everything in my power. My disciple, Pagla Baba, and I are trying our best to make it leave." He encouraged us to keep trying.
Gurudev:
So, the Homa was performed well. He sent me a photo of the ritual from Tarapeeth. It was a very powerful Homa.
Disciple:
Will you show this Homa in your episode?
Gurudev:
Yes, let people see it. There's no harm. People need to see that we are trying every possible way to arrest this Corona. To be honestāand I say this before the MotherāI don't feel good. I feel like leaving this place, but where would I go? Corona is everywhere. I thought about going to Narmada in Chhattisgarh where the doctor stays, but I hear the situation isn't great there either.
Gurudev:
Regardless, we have to survive in this world somehow. We have to keep trying. If you don't succeed once, try a hundred timesāa thousand times. We cannot give up.
Gurudev:
