Interviewer: Pranam (Salutations), Guru-ji. In this temple of yours, we frequently see the Mother’s Hom and Yagya (sacrificial fire rituals) taking place. Similarly, today a Hom is being performed by one of your long-time disciples. If you could explain to us why these Homs are conducted, we would appreciate it.
Guru: Pranam, Pranam. These Homs are performed according to Vedic principles. We light the fire and conduct the rituals as prescribed. When the fire is lit, mantras are chanted, and Ghee-Ahuti (offerings of clarified butter) is given, it produces a result—a very positive result.

Looking at the current state of the world, everyone is deeply worried. It is my belief that if we light the sacred fire, perform Hom-Yagya, and follow Vedic rites, things can improve. I won’t say everything will be fixed instantly, but it certainly brings about some good. I have performed thousands upon thousands of these rituals over many years. The fire burns here every day for the sake of world peace.

Nature is currently very agitated. I don't know how else to pacify it. In ancient Vedic times, whenever nature became disrupted, Hom-Yagyas were performed. Our ancestors understood that these natural phenomena are the works of nature, and to bring nature back into balance, they established the tradition of Hom-Yagya.

Our ancestors contemplated these forces—lightning, storms, rain, earthquakes—and realized someone is behind them. The Vedas describe 24 deities or elements (Tattvas) that govern these actions. The Gayatri Mantra we are chanting today is derived from these 24 elements. When we combine the Om sound with the Gayatri Mantra, it creates a powerful resonance that yields great benefits.

Nature has become uncontrollable. But someone controls nature as well. These rituals are directed toward that controller so that nature may be pacified. Nature has taken a terrifying form, and we have almost forgotten the teachings of the Vedas. I am trying to keep a small part of it alive through these rituals.

Interviewer: In other temples, we usually see these rituals only on specific auspicious dates. However, in your temple, it seems to happen every single day.
Guru: That is true. Even if it’s just a small effort, we do it because nature is so disturbed. Regardless of what people say, Hom has a massive benefit. It’s not that everything becomes perfect immediately, but there is a result. Look at the disasters happening and how much suffering there is—yet, there is still a thread of life held together. These rituals help maintain that balance.

I have conducted Nikumbhila Yagya and Pratyangira Yagya. For three years straight, we performed the Mahamrityunjaya Hom. The fire never stops here. My disciples come and say they want to perform a Hom, and I tell them to go ahead.

Interviewer: Today is Monday, a special day.
Guru: Yes, it is Monday in the month of Shravan. So, we have a Hom for the Mother, one for the Father (Shiva), and one for Mahadev. It’s a daily practice here, regardless of the rituals. Other temples might do it once and show it on TV or YouTube, but we do it constantly—even the ones at midnight or dawn that people don't see. We just keep going.

If you truly intend to do it, cost is not an issue. You just need some ghee and wood. I don’t have to beg anyone; by the Mother’s grace, it happens. Devotees and disciples bring the materials. I have enough wood stored to conduct another 50 Homs right now.

I am doing this for the welfare of humanity. Everyone knows that. Nature is angry, and this is to make it calm. People in India are suffering, but considering we are a population of over 100 crore, the death rate has been relatively lower than it could have been. That is the result of some balance.

Recently, a man came with his child. He wanted to offer money for a ritual because he had been blessed with a child after a long time. I told him, "I don't need your money. You have a child by the Mother’s grace; just bring the child to see the Mother." We don't take money for these things.

Interviewer: Guru-ji, please continue your prayers for the welfare of all. We seek your blessings.
Guru: Blessings to all. May there be peace.
