Devotee: Gurudev, Namaskar!
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Namaskar, Namaskar.
Devotee: In just a few hours, 2020 will be upon us. We are moving from 2019 into 2020. We know that at your Shantikunja Ashram, you spend your days meeting around 150 devotees who come to you with various problems, and you strive to resolve them. Not only in India, but your followers are spread across the globe. They contact you via telephone and social media, and you continue to work toward solving their issues. You are a well-known name in the service of humanity—the occult practitioner (Gupta Sadhak), Syama Khapa.
Devotee: In your previous episodes, you mentioned that the current state of society is quite grim. People have become extremely selfish and self-centered. The sense of mutual trust, respect, devotion, and love is slowly vanishing from our society. You also mentioned that the planetary and stellar positions are exceptionally unfavorable. In such complex and difficult times, we look to you for guidance. We want to hear from you how we should conduct ourselves, and we all seek your blessings.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Certainly. Look, we practice spiritual disciplines (Sadhana) for the welfare of humanity and world peace. We take a vow for this. Standing upon the altar of the cremation ground (Shmashan), I took an oath. Just as doctors or ministers take an oath of office before they begin their duties, we also recite a vow in the presence of a Guru or at a sacred site like a cremation ground.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: My vow was this: I am entering this path of Tantra for one purpose only—human welfare and world peace. This is my only provision. Money or material gain has no place here. I always say—so many people work so hard, facing hardships, rain, and storms to earn a little money. Oh Lord, I pray that I never have to consume my living from their hard-earned money. I know they are in deep pain. Therefore, O God, if I can be of any help, let the things I offer in Your name bring them peace, heal their diseases, and keep them well. This was my vow.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I recently found a very old book that explained that Tantra is not for making money or "selling" God. Tantra is a path for the welfare of mankind. Especially in this Kali Yuga, Tantra is the supreme path because it allows one to realize God in a very short time. In previous ages like Satya, Treta, and Dvapara, people had to undergo immense hardships to see God. Kali Yuga is often called a "bad" age, but from our perspective, it isn't necessarily so. There are certain things we must avoid: alcohol, lust, greed for gold, and gambling. These are the negative influences of Kali. We have always avoided these.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I pray for the people who come to me in distress. I don't give them expensive gemstones; I give them simple things like mud or pieces of brick in the name of the Divine Mother. As you can see, people flock here from morning to evening. They believe I can heal them. But honestly, it hurts to hear constant praise because it can breed ego. I tell people, "I have given you the remedy, now go; you will be fine." But people lack patience these days. They treat spirituality like a marketplace—give money, take the product, and leave. But this is a spiritual path. If one follows it with true devotion and faith, they will surely see results. Faith is the ultimate value here—not money.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Currently, India is going through two significant astrological phases: a period of poverty (Daridra Yoga) and a period of eclipses (Grahan Yoga). The recent solar eclipse in the month of Posh was very intense. If you look at the astronomical positions, they are identical to the planetary positions just before the Kurukshetra War. I can say without a doubt that many lives will be lost. However, we do not wish for that. That is why we performed the Maha Mrityunjaya Yajna for 1,000 days for world peace. Lord Shiva commanded me to perform this ritual to mitigate the coming hardships. We performed it without worry, and God provided the wood and ghee needed.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Performing the Maha Mrityunjaya ritual in Kali Yuga is technically forbidden because it requires a great sacrifice from the practitioner. None of us who performed it are fully healthy now. One young man who participated for three years has passed away. Some became disabled; others had to undergo surgeries. We knew this would happen, but we did it for the world.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I received calls and blessings from monks and scholars worldwide. Samurai from Japan came to embrace me, saying they heard about our prayers for world peace. A great practitioner named Austin came from America.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Another notable thing is that I included women in this Yajna. Initially, only men participated, but then I remembered that in the Vedas, women like Gargi, Apala, and Maitreyi were seers of hymns. If women are included, it encourages society. We had 13 participants, five of whom were women. I received immense praise from the US, Canada, France, and Germany for this inclusivity.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Regarding the times ahead, people say Saturn is moving and Rahu is changing, but in my view, after January 20th, Saturn and Jupiter will move into favorable positions. This might bring some peace to the current conflicts and hatred we see today. People are not even speaking to their neighbors. I am 100% certain that a "Mahapurush" (a Great Soul) will emerge to save us. He might be in hiding now, but he will appear. As the Gita says: "Yada yada hi dharmasya glanir bhavati bharata..." — Whenever there is a decline in righteousness, O Arjuna, and a rise in unrighteousness, then I manifest Myself. This is the promise of Krishna. If the Gita is true, someone will emerge.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Right now, the sky over India is clouded with disaster. Without a Great Soul, I don't see how we will overcome this. I pray to the Mother every day for peace. But everyone must pray. We must let go of hatred.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: India is a land of many religions—Hindu, Christian, Buddhist, Muslim. Everyone has a right to live here. When India gained independence at midnight on August 15, 1947, many warned Nehru and Gandhi that the timing was inauspicious. The country was divided on religious lines, but that has not solved the problems. My request to all is to live in harmony. You cannot drive anyone away; this is a great nation that has absorbed many cultures over millennia. Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) will survive, as will others. There is no need for this constant friction.
Devotee: Gurudev, could you give a specific message to your countless devotees?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: The Upanishads taught us something we often forget. They speak of the "Tejomaya Amritamaya Purusha"—the luminous, immortal being that resides in the "inner space" (Antarakasha) of our soul. My soul is always connected to Him. He is the auspicious, immortal one. If you can recognize Him within your heart and establish Him there, you must call upon Him until your last breath. There is no other way. This is what the scriptures teach, but we have forgotten it. Instead, we have learned how to snatch from others and how to hurt others.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I reiterate: the luminous being is within you. I remember a song by Bhaba Pagla that I love: "Whatever you have done since coming here, Chitragupta has recorded it in his ledger. The Creator will judge you, and before Him, no trickery works." You will have to answer for your deeds. God will provide the justice.
Devotee: It was wonderful hearing from you, Gurudev. Finally, please offer your blessings and New Year greetings to your followers.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: My love and greetings for the New Year to everyone. I give you the blessings of the Divine Mother. I sit at her feet, and whatever blessings I receive, I distribute to you. I have no power of my own; Her power is my power. I pray that everyone—whether they know me or not—stays well. My love and heart's blessings to all.
Devotee: Namaskar, Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Namaskar.
