Narrator: [Sound of a conch shell blowing] Namaskar, friends. Welcome to the Gupta Sadhak Shyama Khyapa YouTube channel. Tomorrow is the 125th birth anniversary of Bharat Mata’s brave son, a pioneer of the anti-British independence movement, and—though controversial to some—the first Prime Minister of India: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Every year, Gurudev remembers, respects, and honors these brave sons of Mother India. In light of that, he will speak to us today about Netaji's upcoming birthday. Pronam, Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Pronam. Yes, go ahead.
Narrator: Like every year, we want to hear from you about Netaji today.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I have said a lot about him before. I was born on August 16th, 1947. That was the time he disappeared. From my childhood, I have heard people say, \"Netaji will return this year, Netaji will return next year.\" We always waited, hoping Netaji would emerge. People would say he is actually in Gyanganj [a mythical mystical kingdom in the Himalayas]. There are many proofs that he is in Gyanganj.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: He went to Gyanganj with the help of Baradacharan Majumdar. At one time, the responsibility of Gyanganj was with Vivekananda, and after he passed, it was entrusted to Baradacharan. During that time, Netaji Subhash was looking for a place where neither the British nor Indian soldiers could catch him. There was a warrant out for him; he was to be arrested wherever he was seen. Subhash understood this and sought refuge with Baradacharan.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Baradacharan told him, \"Don't worry, come with me. I will take you to a place where no ordinary person has ever set foot.\" He took him to Gyanganj and gave him various responsibilities there.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I personally saw him one day with my own eyes—I can't disbelieve what I saw. It was at Baranabhat, the place where there was an attempt to burn the Pandavas. I saw him there and was stunned. Truly, I saw him with my own eyes. His demeanor, his way of walking, his way of speaking—it made me certain that Netaji is alive. My heart filled with joy. I have photos of him being seen at Baranabhat.
Narrator: Gurudev, you once told us that you saw him at a place not far from your own home in Bengal. Could you tell us about that?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Yes, it was at Gopal Bhattacharya’s place. Gopal Bhattacharya was a well-known figure, and he and Netaji were very close. Netaji used to visit him occasionally because he trusted that Gopal would never reveal his presence to anyone. Unfortunately, we happened to arrive there that day. That was our \"crime,\" you could say. Seeing us, he didn't stay more than a day; he left.
Narrator: Did you see him face-to-face?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Not exactly face-to-face. He was sitting with his back to us, holding a radio and smoking a cigarette. He looked back and asked, \"Who are they, Gopal?\" Gopal replied that we were known people who visited his house occasionally. Netaji then said, \"Tell them to leave.\" He asked my uncle, \"Where is your house?\" My uncle replied, \"Kodalia,\" which was nearby. Netaji told him three times, \"Go home, go home, go home.\"
Guru Shyama Khyapa: From that, I believe he is alive. No one has the power to kill him because, in our Tantric traditions, it is said he was a great Tantrik. From a young age, he was devoted to Tantra and collected many books on the subject. There is proof of his practice: when he was traveling by submarine, he performed Durga Puja. According to the rules of Durga Puja, if one takes refuge in Mother Durga, they do not suffer an accidental or unnatural death and can live for more than a hundred years. This is stated in the Chandi.
Narrator: So Gurudev, you are saying that because he performed Durga Puja, the plane crash must have been a diversion, and he didn't actually die?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: No, he did not die. I do not believe he died. When I was about ten years old, on Saraswati Puja or Netaji's birthday, we would go out singing a song: \"O Hero Netaji Subhash, you never returned. While the song of 'March to Delhi' plays everywhere, you are not among us, and Mother India's heart cries.\" We were taught this song as children and would sing it on his birthday.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Since then, I have lived with the hope that he will return. He must return. In Gyanganj, there is no end to age; you remain the age at which you entered.
Narrator: Let’s say he entered Gyanganj at age 50. He would still look the same. But today marks 75 years since 1947.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Yes, we are waiting for him. We want him to return. He used to say, \"Give the country to the military for ten years after independence,\" but the Gandhi family and Nehru didn't listen; they brushed it off.
Narrator: Speaking of Nehru and Gandhi, Netaji's role in India's independence has often been overlooked by various central governments. However, this year, after the controversy over Netaji's tableau being excluded from the Republic Day parade, the Modi government has made a surprise announcement. A granite statue of Netaji will be installed at India Gate. It will be 28 feet high and 6 feet wide. It seems the government is finally giving him his due respect.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Exactly. The Modi government has never wanted to belittle Netaji. Despite the controversy over the tableau, they are determined to install his statue at India Gate. It will be inaugurated on the 23rd. It’s a great thing.
Narrator: Initially, it will be a hologram statue, and later the granite one will be completed. It takes time to build such a monument.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: That’s fine. It takes time to create something of that scale. To see him honored at India Gate feels very good.
Narrator: You have always felt that Netaji didn't receive the honor he deserved. Now, it seems the current government is moving toward giving him that rightful place.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: It brings us great joy. We have wanted him to return and take charge of the country, especially given the current situation. I'm not the only one; many people who visit me ask when Netaji will return. I tell them, \"You are already in the water, yet you are crying out for water.\" I have high hopes that he will return at a special moment.
Narrator: You say this with such conviction.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: My eyes haven't failed me yet, even at my age. I saw him with my own eyes. I am 100% sure he is alive. I could bet anyone on this.
Narrator: What is your logic or proof?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: As I said, I saw him at Baranabhat. That was about 25–30 years ago at Gopal Babu's place, but I saw him even more recently than that. I saw him clearly. He has mastered the \"Khechari Mudra,\" which allows one to travel through the air or ether. In Gyanganj, they learn this because they cannot always travel by foot. It involves touching the tongue to the upper palate—it’s very difficult and has a distinct smell, but they master it.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I saw him traveling this way. And the most significant thing was the boots he was wearing—very high boots that he always used to wear. When I saw those boots, I was 100% certain: this is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Narrator: So, today is the demand of Shanti Kunj, your demand, my demand, and the demand of all of India: Let Netaji return. Netaji should be honored.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Absolutely.
Narrator: You say you remember him every day, not just once a year.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Yes, many people who love him come to me and ask about him. My home is in the village next to Netaji’s ancestral home, Kodalia. Although he didn't stay there much, it is a matter of great pride for us that his home is right next to ours. We can say with pride that Netaji is our neighbor.
Narrator: Dear viewers, today you heard Gurudev speak of his hope and belief that Netaji will return. Even at 76, Gurudev believes he will come back. This hope should be shared by our current generation as well. Let brave sons like him be born in India again and again.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I only pray to God that those who spread lies about him and did him wrong be punished. I speak as a seeker: let them face the consequences of their actions. I have seen some get punished and it brought me peace. God is there, and God will judge. He has already punished the Gandhi family and others. I pray for justice for all those involved in the conspiracies against him. It will bring peace to our hearts. We remember him every day. Bharat Mata Ki Jai! Jai Hind!
Narrator: Pronam, Gurudev.
