Narrator:
Today, from Haldia, Ma (the Mother Goddess) has arrived here at our Rajpur crematorium. Bamdev Baba has also come. Gurudev is here; he will perform the Pran Pratishtha (consecration ceremony) for them today.
Gurudev:
(Chants Sanskrit mantras) "Om Narayan Namaskritya... Shanka Chakra Dharam Vishnum... Mahakal Bhairav..."
Narrator:
It's a bit difficult to show everything because the space is very tight. I hope you can see Ma. Here is our Mother.
Narrator:
I'm holding the camera in my hand, so it might be a bit shaky. Everyone has come from Haldia in a large vehicle. You can see it there; they brought Ma in that car. Everyone who brought her is here. Gurudev is performing the Pran Pratishtha for Ma and Bamdev Baba.
Gurudev:
(Continues chanting mantras while performing rituals)
Gurudev:
Put the garland on Ma.
Gurudev:
(Continues the intense chanting of mantras and performing the ritual of "infusing life" into the deities)
Gurudev:
Om Vidya Tattvaye Swaha... Om Atma Tattvaye Swaha... Om Shiva Tattvaye Swaha...
Gurudev:
Joy Ma! Here, give the honey (modhu) now. Give this. Give the honey here.
Gurudev:
(Continues chanting) "Modhu vata ritayate modhu khoranti sindhabah... Madhuryam... Madhuna..."
Gurudev:
(Continues chanting) "Om... Mahakal Bhairav... Tara... Jivo Nyastatva..."
Gurudev:
(Performs the final stages of the consecration)
Narrator:
Gurudev's Pran Pratishtha is complete. I will go to Gurudev now. Gurudev, they have come from Haldia with Ma and Bamdev Baba. You have just finished the Pran Pratishtha. Please say a few words, and then I will talk to them.
Gurudev:
They had said that once the statue was ready, they would bring it here for me to perform the Pran Pratishtha before they took her back. I agreed to that. They arrived right on time with Ma, and I have completed the ceremony.
Narrator:
Thank you, Gurudev. Now, I am with Tanumoy Babu, who built the temple for Ma. He brought her here for Gurudev's blessings. Please tell the viewers something.
Tanumoy Babu:
Since childhood, I've had a strong pull toward God. Later, after I got a job, I fell into a very difficult situation. It was a crisis that only I and Baba (the Guru) know about. In that situation, I used to call out to Ma, asking if there was anyone to rescue me from my mistakes, whether intentional or unintentional. Then, one day, I saw the serial Sadhak Bama Khepa on TV. After watching it, I became so devoted to Bamdev Baba that I accepted him as my Guru in my heart. Then I came to Gurudev, and he showered his grace upon me. Now, he is my Guru.
Gurudev:
Tell them what I said.
Tanumoy Babu:
Baba said everything would be fine. I told him that I was having some trouble performing daily worship at home and wanted to build a prayer room. Baba told me to go ahead. Then I asked about making a statue of Ma. He said, "Build a temple slightly away from your main house." What started as a small prayer room has now, by the grace of Bamdev Baba and Ma, turned into a temple. For the rest of my life, I want to seek refuge at Baba's feet.
Narrator:
You've heard him. He has come with his wife as well.
Tanumoy's Wife:
I never imagined that Ma would be established in our home or that we would be under Baba's shelter. I feel so blessed to be his disciple. I only want to continue worshipping Ma and always keep Baba's grace upon our heads.
Gurudev:
Do it with total devotion. And never take money from anyone for this.
Narrator:
You heard them. Gurudev, do you have any final words?
Gurudev:
There isn't much to say. I am a devotee of Tara, and they were in trouble and managed to overcome it. They are taking Ma Tara to establish her temple. I am very happy. They have built the temple outside their house and will perform the worship themselves. As long as they do it with sincerity, it's fine. They are my disciples. Let them worship Ma; that's all that matters. Just don't let any commercial interests or "business" enter into this worship. I will be very happy to know that one of my "sons" has established Ma.
Narrator:
They brought the statue here, and now they will take it back. How was Ma made? What materials were used? It seems very heavy.
Tanumoy Babu:
I asked Baba how to make her—clay or stone? He said, "Whatever you wish." So, we made her with sand and cement.
Gurudev:
That doesn't matter. The statue has turned out very beautiful. This is Bama Tara. There is no doubt about it. It's even better that he has brought Bamdev Baba along with her. The local people will also benefit. May those who worship with devotion stay well.
Tanumoy Babu:
I cannot think of moving a single step in life without Bamdev Baba, Gurudev, and Guruma. For as long as I live, I want to follow the right path by remembering them. Baba, please bless me so that I am never lured by the greed of money.
Gurudev:
Exactly. Never fall for the lure of money. There are many temptations out there. People will tell you to do this or that ritual for money—stay away from that. I have maintained this principle all these years, and you must too.
Tanumoy Babu:
I have already said that I will not take a single rupee at the temple. I will follow the path my Gurudev has shown me.
Gurudev:
Feed Ma a little; she doesn't need much. But don't do it by taking money from people. That makes Mother unhappy.
Narrator:
You've seen them; they are very emotional. Gurudev, we will end here. Let's take one last look at Ma. Here is Ma after the Pran Pratishtha. And here is Bamdev Baba. I am ending the video now. Stay healthy, stay well. Joy Ma!
