Interviewer:
Gurudev, salutations.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Salutations.
Interviewer:
A couple came to you, and with your blessings—you had placed your hand on their heads—they were able to have a child. The story sounds quite miraculous. Could you tell us more about it?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Well, the woman and her husband came to me and fell at my feet, crying. They said they hadn't been able to have a child for many years since their marriage. I told them, "No, no, you will have a child." I saw their souls and knew they would conceive. I gave them a few things to wear and told them they would soon have a baby.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
But I also told them one thing: I wasn't sure who would live and who would die. Both might die, or both might survive. I said if Ma Tara (Goddess Tara) shows her mercy, they would both live; otherwise, they would both perish.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
And that is exactly what happened. The hospital declared both the mother and the baby dead and put them aside. But then, noticing some movement, the doctors rushed them back, and both survived.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Two months later, they came to see me. I told my wife to hold the baby, and she did. We showered them with affection. I told them to go in peace, as it was all Ma Tara's blessing. It wasn't me; it was her grace. Because of her, they didn't die. She controls life and death. You've seen her miraculous power for yourselves. I've seen it thousands of times. You saw how someone could come back from the dead. That's what happened—both the mother and the child returned from the brink. They were here today, telling me their story.
Interviewer:
Yes, I've heard before that you've brought a child back to life, and the person it happened to was actually sitting beside you in one of the videos. So, this isn't the first time.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
No, not at all. These miracles happen frequently. It's all Ma Tara's mercy. If she decides to save someone, no one can stop it. She saved them, even when they were left for dead.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
When was the baby born?
Mother:
It's been two months now. He was born on September 3rd.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
And what was the situation?
Mother:
It was very bad. The doctors had given up. He was born prematurely at eight months. They said he wouldn't survive and moved me to a separate ward. My condition was critical, too. They said the baby had died inside the womb.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Why would he die? Neither you nor the baby was going to die.
Mother:
I kept calling out to you and Ma Tara. I had attended the ritual (Homa) you performed.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Exactly. You came to the ritual, you offered prayers, and you were blessed. Doctors say a lot of things, but with Ma Tara's grace, you both survived.
Mother:
It's all because of your blessings. I am healthy now, and so is the baby.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
He's two months old now. In another four months, you can start feeding him solids.
Mother:
We will bring him here for that.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
They had come to me earlier because they couldn't conceive. I told them to attend the ritual and offer some ghee. Everyone has children, and I told them they would, too. But it was a very difficult birth. Both could have died, according to the doctors.
Mother:
Yes, the doctors told my family to take me away because the baby had died inside. I was under observation, and in my mind, I was prepared for death. I just kept praying to Gurudev. Suddenly, I felt something moving inside me. It was a strange fluttering sensation. I told the doctors, and they were shocked. My placenta had already detached, and I was bleeding heavily. Everything was coming out before the birth. Even then, the baby was alive. The doctors had seen the ultrasound and were sure he was dead, but then they heard a sound.
Mother:
When they took me in for the operation, I felt no pain, no discomfort at all. I was just focused on Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
It was Ma Tara's grace. I didn't do anything. You came to the ritual, and you believed.
Mother:
I came to you, and as soon as I saw you, I felt a sense of peace. We are both your initiated disciples.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
That's good. I'm very happy. You've brought the baby to see me, and we are all very glad.
Interviewer:
Salutations, Gurudev.
