Host: Welcome to the Gupta Sadhok Shyama Kheyapa YouTube channel. Today, we have a special episode for all the countless followers and viewers of our Gurudev, Shyama Kheyapa. Friends, as we know, a seeker must undergo continuous testing. We have heard from Gurudev that during his long life of spiritual practice, the Divine Mother has tested him in various ways at different times. We recently witnessed such an incident ourselves. We were quite concerned and troubled by the situation, but Gurudev kept saying, "Is the Mother testing me again?" Today, we will hear about this incident directly from Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Yes, a young lady about 28 to 30 years old came all the way from Bakra in Howrah. She arrived around 8:00 PM and told me she wanted to stay the night here. I explained that we didn't have the space or facilities for her to stay. I told her to go home as it was a four-hour journey. She wouldn't listen. She was carrying a small idol of Lord Krishna (Gopal) and insisted on staying. I told her we had no proper toilets or bathing areas, and while we had some food and a place to sleep, I couldn't take responsibility for a young woman's safety at night. I was worried about potential police matters.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: She was very stubborn and refused to leave. She was accompanied by an elderly gentleman who didn't speak. Eventually, I had to ask her to leave, as no women stay here at night. She left but ended up sitting under a neem tree nearby. I knew there were young men around who might be drinking or causing trouble. I thought she had gone to a friend's house in Garia, but I had a feeling she was still nearby. I sent some of our boys to check, and they found her sitting quietly at the crematorium.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I told the boys to bring her to a separate, safe room since she refused to leave. I also informed the local police IC just to be safe. The next morning, I found her sitting right next to my chair. When I asked if she was going home, she said, "No, you called me here. I didn't even know who you were, but you appeared in my dream and told me to come to this crematorium." She had brought a few belongings with her. I told her to eat something and then head home. She refused to eat or even drink a drop of water. I felt terrible that she was going hungry while I was eating at home, but she wouldn't budge. She kept saying, "Bring me my father."
Guru Shyama Khyapa: It turns out her father's name was also Shyamal Bhattacharya, which is my name. I later realized she was mentally unstable. She kept saying, "You brought me here, now bring my father." I couldn't get her to leave that night either. She hadn't eaten for three days. Eventually, I arranged for her to wash up and change at someone's house. By 4:00 PM, she was back here. She had an old phone that wasn't working, but we managed to get it running and saw a photo of her father. I initially thought her father might still be alive and had left her, so I performed a ritual (homa) for over an hour, but the fire kept going out. Later, when her family arrived, we learned her father had passed away in 1987.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: She was a B.Tech engineer, but she had lost her mental balance. We finally managed to find a contact number and called her family. They were already at the police station filing a missing person report. They asked us to keep her safe until they could arrive. They took her to a psychiatrist in Madhyamgram. When her family arrived the next evening, she tried to run away, saying she wouldn't go with them. I talked to her family; they were very kind people and were so grateful that we had looked after her.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: She insisted, "My uncle (Gurudev) brought me here, my father will come, and then I'll leave with him." I realized she needed professional help. I spoke with the doctor in Madhyamgram, who knew of me through YouTube. He assured me she would be well cared for. I sent two of our boys to accompany her to the hospital in an Ola cab. I was worried about her safety during the trip, but by the Mother's grace, they reached safely around 9:00 PM. It's a challenge because many people think they can just come and stay at Shantikunj, but it's difficult to accommodate everyone, especially women, due to safety and legal concerns.
Host: Friends, you just heard from Gurudev himself. Similar incidents have happened here at Shantikunj before. Let's hear from another person who came from Puri.
Taranand Brahmachari: My name is Taranand Brahmachari. My Guru gave me this name. I told my Guru I wanted the Shakti Mantra of the Mother. He told me to pray to the Mother and cry out to her, and I would receive it. One morning, I felt a strong urge to go to Tarapith. I went there and prayed. A man in saffron robes approached me and asked why I was sitting there. I told him I wanted the Shakti Mantra. He told me to go to Shyama Kheyapa at the Rajpur Mahashmashan, and he would give me the mantra and initiation.
Taranand Brahmachari: I didn't know where Rajpur was. I went to Howrah and then Sealdah, asking for directions. Someone told me to go to Sonarpur. From Sonarpur station, people directed me to Rajpur Mahashmashan. I arrived around 2:30 PM. People told me Gurudev would arrive at 4:00 PM. When he arrived, I met him and told him my story. Everyone was surprised that I had found my way here without even having a working phone or much money. By the Mother's grace, I have now received the mantra from Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: See how it works? He came all the way from Puri to Tarapith, where someone told him to come to me. He doesn't even speak much Bengali. He traveled by train and auto to get here. It's amazing how the Mother brings people here.
Host: You've heard from Gurudev, who has dedicated himself to the welfare of humanity, even performing a 1,000-day Mahamritunjay Yagna. Pranam, Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Pranam.
