Gurudev was accompanied by a newcomer actor, Mayukh Das.
Narrator:
This is a transcript of the audio in English, capturing the conversation between Gurudev, an aspiring actor named Mayukh, and other devotees at a temple.
Speaker 1:
Greetings, Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Greetings, my son. Greetings.
Speaker 1:
Here in Mother's temple, in your ashram, today we have a budding actor who is going to act in a new Bengali film. The filming has already started. He came to you today to seek your blessings so that his future path is beautiful. That's why he's here. He is Mayukh. Mayukh, I'm asking you, how did you find out about Gurudev?
Mayukh:
At first, I used to watch YouTube for a long time. Especially at night, I used to watch Gurudev's program on YouTube until 3:00 or 4:00 AM. After watching the program, I couldn't contact Gurudev at first. Then I contacted his grandson. Later, Gurudev told me to come here. First of all, I want to say that after sitting next to Gurudev, looking at him for the first time, he speaks very little, but I would say he is god-like. It might sound like a big claim from someone so young, but sitting next to him meant a lot to me. Secondly, I have seen many places, even in our film industry, there are many people involved in these things where money is always a factor. Every step involves money. But coming to Gurudev's presence, this is the first place I've seen where he hates money. He says, "Don't give money here." I asked him, "Why won't you take money?" and he said, "What will I do with money?" He is the first person I've seen who doesn't love money. For him, people's respect and love are his wealth. Being in the presence of such a person, I will always be grateful to Mother Kali. Thirdly, he said one thing: "You don't have to tell me your problems. Whatever your problem is, tell Mother. Mother will fix everything." And Mother Tara is here. She is just like my own mother. Even the disciples of Gurudev here perform Mahamritunjaya Japa so beautifully. I was sitting and listening. Their way of speaking, their chanting, and Gurudev's beautiful behavior, he treats everyone as his own, like his son, grandson, granddaughter, or daughter. Gurudev, my salutations to you. Please bless me so that my future life.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Of course, my son. You have devotion towards God. One who has devotion towards God will surely rise. One who doesn't have devotion towards God cannot rise. You are working, making a film, I am very happy. At least I will get to see your movie. One thing is, you are a devotee of God. You have connected God with your work. You are a great devotee of God and Shiva. I really liked your devotion. Your devotion has humbled me. Look, God diminishes the power of His devotees. The rule of God is that He reduces power through devotion. Ramprasad also said this in his song, "How much power is needed to give devotion to the lowliest?" Ramprasad said this. So, Mother and we, for devotees like you, we are compelled to bow our heads. This is nothing, my son. Yes, I am much older. The whole world knows me. YouTube has made me famous across the globe. People come here from all over the world. That's not the point. The point is, it's difficult to find a true devotee. Here, you see, Mahamritunjaya Japa is performed every day. It happened today in front of you too. You will see. It's not about that. The point is.
Mayukh:
I want to say one thing. The way your disciples chant the mantras gives me goosebumps. It's so beautiful. I would say everyone should come once and see. The way they chant the mantras and perform the puja, it will give you goosebumps. My salutations to all of them.
Disciples:
Jai Tara, Jai Bam.
Mayukh:
You all should come once and see. Every day Mahamritunjaya Japa is performed here. Only in Nashik's Trimbakeshwar is Mahamritunjaya Japa performed. Here, it's been happening for a thousand days.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
A thousand days, and it's still going on.
Mayukh:
For three years. Every day Mahamritunjaya Japa is performed here. Mahadev is here. There's no money involved. Only respect and devotion towards Mother.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I'll tell you one thing. Should I sell God to you? Tell me, can God be sold for money? Those thieves and robbers also earn a lot of money. It's not right to take that money. It's people's hard-earned money. You should realize how hard people work to earn. Taking that money is like taking poison. Maybe many will say I am lying or I am a fraud. But honestly, people don't understand that where there is money, God is not there. God is not in opulence. I could earn crores or lakhs of rupees. But taking that money is like taking poison. I don't know what you think about this. But I say, no matter how many temples are in the world, this is my small temple. I have said only one thing: "Don't pollute this temple by offering money." It is written in big letters. A temple where money enters is finished.
Mayukh:
I don't think there are many people like him in West Bengal or even in India. He said people have made God a business. I don't know what will happen there. But for the first time in my 26 years of life, I've seen Gurudev, where money doesn't matter. Only devotion, offerings, and love for Mother and Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Just do this. See what happens. God will surely have mercy. He will. Money doesn't do anything. Money is the root of evil. I've said it before, and I'm saying it again.
Speaker 1:
But Gurudev, we have seen many cases where people forget their guru after reaching great heights. We don't want that to happen.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Jai Bamdeb. I'm not talking about that. Today, the one sitting in front of you and talking to you might become very famous one day. Let him be. I want it from my heart.
Speaker 1:
But why do you want that, Gurudev? You should want him to respect you all his life.
Mayukh:
Let me say one thing about Gurudev's teachings. I'll just say two things. Where Gurudev is sitting, every human being is made of five elements. A person might be born with crores of rupees, ten, fifty, or a hundred crores, cars, houses, luxury, but when he dies, even his loincloth is taken away. Nothing goes with him. People's love, respect, and faith in God are what take a person from this world to heaven.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I'll ask you one thing. What will you do with money? Can you tell me? Can you get people's love with money? No. The respect I've received from all over the world, I can't get that with money. No, never. Don't take money in any temple. If Mother gives her blessing, she will. If not, she won't. But don't seek her blessings with money. This is my request to everyone. Don't seek Mother's blessings with money. Mother's blessing will come to you anyway. If Mother wants, she will give you her blessing by any means. See, who talks like this? Different talk, unique talk. I don't think many people in West Bengal or even in India speak like this.
Mayukh:
My salutations to Gurudev. And I request everyone, with folded hands, come once to this Mother's temple and see Mother. Mother is present here in person. And Gurudev is here, the disciple of Mother, the disciple of Guru Bamdeb. Everyone should come.
Speaker 1:
Gurudev, a new devotee is sitting next to you. He came after watching YouTube. He wants to move forward in life. The message he gave to people today is very profound. It was a beautiful message. In that context, he is not very old. But the awakening that has happened in his heart, I also liked it, and surely you liked it too.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
He says he feels better being with me. He is a devotee of God. I surrender to him. I have surrendered to him.
Speaker 1:
Please bless him so that he can move forward in life.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I will surely bless him from my heart, from my soul. And you saw, there was another gentleman with me, who got introduced. He is from the IB department. He has been sitting here since morning to be in the presence of the Guru. He came at 10:00 AM and just left. He also said one thing, "Gurudev, I will perform Homa, I will sit for puja." Do it. There's no problem. Open up to Mother. Open it for everyone. Mother belongs to everyone.
Speaker 1:
That gentleman told me one thing, "You all organize something, we will all sit and discuss how this temple can progress and how all obstacles can be removed."
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
That's fine, but this temple won't grow more than this. I won't let it grow. I don't need it. People can come, sit for a while, get some shade, some air, some light, and some food, Mother's food. I don't need more than this. Mother doesn't reside in such opulence. I won't be able to call her Mother. I don't need opulence. What's wrong with this place? Tell me, what's wrong with how it is?
Speaker 1:
Nothing is wrong, that's why everyone is coming here now.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Then why make it bigger? What's the need? Should I make it big by shaving people's heads? I don't need it. Let it be as it is.
Speaker 1:
Everyone comes here to respect Mother and you. To show respect to you and offer salutations to Mother.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Let them come. Who has forbidden them? I have kept the doors open for everyone. I have kept Mother's room open. I don't discriminate against anyone. I tell the poor to go to Mother, and I tell the rich to go to Mother too.
Speaker 1:
We have seen that no one ever leaves here empty-handed.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Why should they? I have never seen that. Whoever comes, they get food. It's Mother's place. You're saying I, I, but leave that I. This is Mother's place. This is a cremation ground, Mother's place. This is not my place. Mother is sitting here, Mother will take care of it. I can't make it bigger than this. It's impossible. Whatever has been done is enough, my son.
Speaker 1:
Mr. Mayukh, your future path will surely be beautiful. You will progress a lot. Seek blessings from Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Blessings are always with you. I'm telling you again and again, you are a devotee. I have understood you. And don't ask for blessings from me. I've already given you blessings. Mother is here, I've given you Mother's blessings. May you become great, I will be very happy.
Mayukh:
Please bless the people of the whole world so that everyone stays well.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I bless everyone. You heard my Mahamritunjaya Japa. It's for everyone. For world peace and human welfare. For a disease-free world, I am performing Homa every day. Every day Homa is being performed. It happens two or three times a day. Only for world peace and human welfare. I will do even more if needed. If my body gives out, let it. I tell God, take my body too.
Speaker 1:
Where will we go then?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Take it. I have no objection. But let me not move away from this path, from human welfare. Every day a hundred people come. I don't take a single penny from anyone. Many might say I'm boasting, or they might say many things. Just know one thing, let me not move away from this, let there be no deviation. Let my body go for human welfare, let my respect go, let my bones go. God can take everything.
Speaker 1:
But where will we, your children, go? Please don't say such things.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
It's fine. It's Mother's wish. But I have dedicated my life to the people. I have done it all my life. And as long as I live, I will do whatever is needed for human welfare. Even if death comes, I am ready. I have told God, give me death too, but bring world peace. Bring human welfare. I don't care if one life goes.
Speaker 1:
Where will so many people find peace then? You are the one sitting in the place of peace. People find peace with you. May you live for a hundred or two hundred years. Give us love.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
That's not possible, my son. I will always give blessings.
Speaker 1:
Gurudev, most importantly, you are our guardian, you are our everything. We can share all our sorrows and obstacles with you. If you talk like this, whom will we go to? We want you to live for ages so that many more can come to you and find peace.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
That's not the rule of the world, my son. One has to go. I am ready to go.
Mayukh:
My brother and I came for the first time. My brother was also telling me, I'll ask him to speak.
Brother:
Honestly, people ask where peace is. We say happiness is in dreams and peace is in the cremation ground. And where Gurudev is sitting is the cremation ground itself. There is peace there. And there's no business, no money, nothing with Gurudev. Gurudev is like Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, he hates money. Money is like pain and suffering to him. It's written here, "Don't offer money to me." That's why you all should come too. You will find peace in this place of peace. You will feel something positive here. There's a positive vibe which we call Allah, Jesus, Mother Kali, or Mahadev. There is some positive power here in Gurudev's temple. Some call it Jol, some call it Paani, water.
Speaker 1:
Friends, as you can see, Gurudev and the devotee who came today, a future actor, or I can say a devotee. Along with him, those of us sitting behind the camera are so overwhelmed that they have started commenting from behind. We really liked it. This is because of the attraction towards Gurudev, and the attraction towards this land, this temple.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Let him speak, let that gentleman speak.
Speaker 1:
There's someone sitting here.
Woman:
Now I just feel, why didn't I find this place earlier? Why didn't I find Gurudev earlier? It's too late now. There's always a sadness in the heart when Gurudev says he won't be here, he will leave. I feel like crying then. Honestly, I cry when Gurudev says such things. Whom will we go to? Now Mother is above us. Whatever happens, I can tell her, I tell her in my heart that Mother, this is my problem. May Gurudev not say such things. Gurudev, don't ever say you won't be here. We won't be able to bear it. There's no one else like him.
Speaker 1:
Friends, you can see, the devotees are very anxious. This is all due to the grace of Gurudev and Mother. Gurudev, let's stop here for today. Salutations to you, Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Greetings, my son. Greetings.
