Interviewer: Greetings, Gurudev.
Gurudev: Greetings, greetings. Yes, tell me.
Interviewer: Today's subject is locusts. Gurudev will be providing a special discourse regarding these locusts.
Gurudev: Yes. Well, locusts have already entered India. They are in Gujarat, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan—locusts have already entered various places.
Gurudev: According to our scriptures, and specifically the Bible, it is mentioned that during a certain period, there will be a severe plague of locusts, and they will consume all the food crops of mankind. This is mentioned in the Bible; if you read it, you will understand. In one part, it describes the "end times" of the world—when and how the world will end. Among those signs, the mention of locusts is frequent, describing it as a pandemic-scale infestation.
Gurudev: This morning, I heard that locusts have entered Bangladesh. The swarm has a diameter of about three kilometers, and the sky has turned black. People are unable to step outside because of the locust infestation. This is happening in Bangladesh. Look at the series of calamities occurring on Earth and against humanity. First, there was Cyclone Amphan, and now we hear about Cyclone Goti; before that, there was Nisarga. One after another, neither the administration nor the people are being allowed to live in peace.
Gurudev: This mention of locusts is specifically found in the Bible. When danger comes, it often comes all at once. These locusts will finish off tons and tons of food crops. There is no effective way to drive them away. The government is trying; they are spraying various chemicals and using different methods to kill them. I have even seen some people eating locusts—they are being sold for 20 rupees a kilo. People are killing them, but they aren't dying off easily.
Gurudev: Actually, they live in the desert, but they emerge during times like these. This time, they are dealing a severe blow to India. They have entered five states already. They can fly at speeds of nearly 150 kilometers per hour. They look like grasshoppers but are larger. When they sit on a tree, they eat the leaves in a peculiar way, making round holes until the entire leaf is gone. Their way of eating is like that of a demon. This is another ominous sign.
Gurudev: The Bible said that when the locusts arrive, it is a sign of the Great Destruction (Pralay). We saw locusts about 60 or 70 years ago; I didn't understand it back then, but today I do. This is a deadly weapon. They will eat all the crops and fruits we produce. Wherever there is greenery, they will strip it bare. People are trying to scare them away by beating drums, playing DJs, or lighting fires, but they are a species that doesn't die easily. They will come, they will breed, and their numbers will increase further. It is very difficult to be saved from them.
Gurudev: Along with this, there are earthquakes. Every day there is an earthquake. Since Amphan, there has been an earthquake almost every day—yesterday, today, and the day before. This is not a good sign. The coming earthquake that is being predicted is so massive that even 177-story buildings won't stand a chance; they will be reduced to rubble. It could be a magnitude 8 or 9 on the Richter scale. There are also signs of a terrible tsunami. I have mentioned this many times before—how will people survive the year 2020?
Gurudev: The only way is to keep calling upon God. I am performing Hom-Yagna (sacred fire rituals) day and night. It was done today and yesterday, and it will be done tomorrow. But it seems nothing is helping; only the ghee and wood are being consumed. Whatever mantras are being recited seem to be failing. We are trying many things to avert this disaster, but this is a global crisis.
Gurudev: Furthermore, asteroids are approaching. One passed by this morning, and there are two more that could hit the Earth; NASA is monitoring them for the 5th, 6th, and 7th. These dates are very dangerous. These celestial events were known to me long ago; I predicted them long ago. A terrible time is coming, and it has already begun. I don't know where it will end, but 2020 is a very bad year. The whole world is under lockdown. I don't even know if Durga Puja will happen or how it will be celebrated.
Gurudev: Disasters are coming one after another. Today there was an eclipse, and there is another one on the 25th. When the Great Destruction (Pralay) comes, everything happens at once. As I said before, the positions of the planets are like those during the Kurukshetra war. We can say with closed eyes that there will be massive loss of life in 2020. Animals will also be affected. Whatever is destined to happen will happen.
Gurudev: The Bible has given great significance to these locusts. It says that when this happens, it will be a pandemic. If anyone reads the Bible, they will see what it says about the end of the world.
Gurudev: However, it is my firm belief that whether it is locusts, storms, or rain, we are living in Kali-kshetra (the field of Goddess Kali)—Kalighat, Kolkata. I believe that within a 16-kilometer radius of Kalighat, no major disaster will strike. I have known this for a long time. Those living within 16 kilometers of Kalighat will not face much trouble because nothing can penetrate this area. The same applies to Tarapith and the other 51 Shakti Peeths where the Mother resides; those places will not be destroyed. For those of us near Kalighat, within that 16-kilometer radius, we don't have much to fear. The Mother will protect us.
Gurudev: Locusts have already started entering Bengal; they have been spotted in Bankura and Purulia. Since they have entered Bangladesh (East Bengal), it won't take long for them to reach West Bengal. They will come. As I have been saying, a very bad time has arrived.
Interviewer: You have heard Gurudev's special opinion. We will try to bring you more information in the future. Namaskar, Gurudev.
Gurudev: Namaskar.
