On Kala Bhairava Jayanthi, Shri Praveen Radhakrishna announced the forthcoming release of the Beeja Mantra and Sadhana Vidhi of Kala Bhairava โ not to the general public, but specifically to those who satisfy the conditions for genuine eligibility. This video and the teaching within it serve as the prerequisite. Before the mantra, one must understand the central concept: Bhairavi Yatana โ the living, conscious experience of one's own karmic death, administered not by Yama after the body stops, but by Kala Bhairava while the body is still breathing.
From Vatuka to Kala Bhairava: The Cosmic Progression
To understand Bhairavi Yatana, one must first understand the two major stages of Bhairava's own progression.
Vatuka Bhairava is the "wandering" form โ a baby, restless, roaming form of Bhairava who traverses all fourteen Lokas (cosmic realms). He travels through Devaloka, Asuraloka, and every realm in between, systematically understanding each level of existence and its karmic architecture. He visits Brahma, who receives the Yatana of losing his fifth head. He visits Maha Vishnu in Vaikuntha, presenting Brahma's Kapala (skull) and asking for a blood offering โ Maha Vishnu obediently makes a cut in his own forehead and offers blood, and the skull never fills. This is Vishnu's own Yatana. Vatuka is not yet the master of anything; he is the cosmic Tapasvi (ascetic) learning and administering Yatana at every level.
Kala Bhairava is the seated, complete form โ when Bhairava finally arrives at Kashi and the Kapala (skull) falls, indicating that the cycle of Brahma Hatya (Brahmin-killing penance) is complete. At this moment, Bhairava attains Kala Gyana โ the mastery of Time itself. The prefix Kala is earned here: consciousness that not only roars, but now commands the dimension of time. He is presiding deity of Kashi, which is named the 208th name of Kali โ Moksha itself. Kashi is Kali. Kala Bhairava administers Kashi; thus Kala Bhairava administers Moksha.
Within this progression, there are the Ashta Bhairavas and 64 Bhairava forms โ but the sadhaka need not pursue each individually. The path is: Vatuka โ (via Swarna Akarshana Bhairava) โ Kala Bhairava. The intermediate forms will manifest organically as the energy rises.
What Is Bhairavi Yatana?
Yatana translates to hellish torture โ specifically the karmic flashback that every Atma undergoes as part of the death process. Medical research on the dying corroborates the ancient scriptural understanding: in the thirty seconds before the heart stops and the thirty seconds after, the brain exhibits intense Gamma wave activity identical to what is observed during deep memory recollection or hypnosis. The entire karmic record of the life โ every trauma, every unfulfilled obligation, every moment of pain โ flashes vividly through the dying consciousness.
This is Yama's Yatana: after-death, uncontrolled, unavoidable for all. The body has stopped. The Atma is yanked out. Karma is displayed. No agency, no understanding, no steering possible.
Bhairavi Yatana is the same process โ but administered while the physical body is alive and functioning.
This is the meaning of Bhairava holding the Pasha (noose) of Yama in his upper left hand. Yama can only use that noose on a dead body โ he is the mechanic who must switch the engine off before operating. Kala Bhairava uses it while the engine is running. He takes command of the Atma while the person is still preparing for an exam, chasing a promotion, worried about a visa. The Atma is detached from the timeline of Brahma's design. And then the Yatana begins: a systematic, conscious walkthrough of all karmic events โ everything that must be witnessed, understood, and dissolved.
The critical difference is control. In Yama's version, you have none. In Kala Bhairava Sadhana, the Yatana unfolds over three to four years, and you are alive with the understanding of what is happening. You can hold your Guru's hand. You have the Gyana (knowledge) that this pain is the dissolution of karma, not the destruction of the self. That understanding is everything.
The reward at the end is remarkable: you will know, when your Sthula Sharira (physical body) eventually expires, exactly what comes next. You are in control of your own Atma's trajectory at the moment of death. That is Kala Bhairava Sadhana โ taking conscious command of the event that normally happens involuntarily and in terror.
The Conditions for Kala Bhairava Sadhana
Shri Praveen emphasizes these are hints, not absolute disqualifications. But they are serious indicators of karmic readiness. If several of the following do not yet apply to you, the prescribed path is to continue with Vatuka Swarna Akarshana Bhairava Sadhana until they do.
Age: Generally 33 and above. The period from roughly age 20 to 33 is described as the equivalent of the Pandavas' twelve years of Vanavasa (forest exile) plus one year of Agyatavasa (incognito exile) โ Sri Krishna's own framework for the soul establishing its independent identity, confronting its desires, and forming its chosen path. Those who enter Kala Bhairava Sadhana exceptionally young must have already organically moved through their major family-related desires. Age is a guideline; karmic readiness is the actual criterion.
Career: Settled and no longer chasing. Are you still dreaming of a different industry, a different city, a different professional identity? Is money โ Maa Kamala's domain โ still the consuming center of your attention? If so, Kala Bhairava will not come to reorganize your career for you. He comes to take you to Moksha โ which is Kashi โ and that journey has no room for the noise of career anxiety. Vatuka Swarna Akarshana Bhairava is the deity to invoke until the career is stable and the restlessness is quieted.
Marriage: Witness Consciousness. If you find yourself constantly wishing your partner were different โ more beautiful, more understanding, more aligned with your ideals โ the marriage energy is still consuming you. Witness consciousness in marriage means: the relationship exists, you are present in it, and you are not straining against it. You are not trying to reshape it. If you have not yet reached this state of inner stillness within the marriage, Vatuka Swarna Akarshana Bhairava will give you the sthirata (stability) to get there.
Children: Released from projection. If you are actively loading ambitions onto your children โ pushing them toward specific careers, academic trajectories, life paths that satisfy your own unlived desires โ the bloodline is still in Vatuka territory. The Kala Bhairava-ready understanding is: "I have been on the path of Moksha, and because I am liberating my bloodline, my child will ultimately find their own Moksha." There is no grasping. The child is witnessed, not managed.
Physical Pleasures: Naturally receding. This is not suppression. When the Shiva Tattva within genuinely begins to rise, the interest in social pleasures, alcohol, group excursions, entertainment, and the admiration of the opposite gender simply begins to fall away organically. You find yourself wanting to recluse, wanting to spend more time in your Asana, increasingly indifferent to what colleagues or bosses think of you. This is the exceptional sign. Society itself becomes something you observe rather than participate in compulsively.
Enemies: Vairagya from Retaliation. The urge to destroy, expose, or legally pursue those who have wronged you โ if this urge is still active and consuming energy โ it is a sign that the Atma is still tightly bound to the designs of Brahma's world. Kala Bhairava's path is to understand that every enemy was a karmic instrument, an Atma that you may have harmed in a previous life now returning the debt. Vairagya (detachment) from revenge: that is the marker.
Vatuka Swarna Akarshana Bhairava: The Preparatory Path
This is not an inferior path โ it is the essential foundation. Swarna Akarshana Bhairava is specifically recommended for young seekers (under 33) and for all those who still have active desires around wealth, career, marriage, and children. He gives the sthirata of mind and the material Kripa (grace) that allows the seeker to fulfill the karmic debts of the bloodline and arrive at the Kala Bhairava threshold with the slate sufficiently clean.
The progression is: Vatuka Swarna Akarshana Bhairava โ (when readiness manifests) โ Kala Bhairava + Adhya Kali Sadhana โ graduation to the Bhadrakali Beeja Mantra after three Amavasya (new moon) cycles.
Kala Bhairava Ashtakam: Guhya Vidya Within
The Kala Bhairava Ashtakam is not simply a Sanskrit hymn to be translated and recited. From the perspective of a Kala Bhairava Sadhaka who has walked the path of Kali and Bhairava, every single line of the Ashtakam contains Guhya Vidya โ secret, layered knowledge invisible to a surface reading. Within it lies the presence of Maa Tara, the relationship between the Ashta Bhairava forms, and the precise description of the Yatana given to Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. A dedicated breakdown of this Ashtakam is forthcoming.
The Purpose of Teaching: For Future Births
A final teaching from this Satsang carries unusual weight. Shri Praveen notes that most people alive today will not be remembered even by their own grandchildren by name. Most of what we build for public approval in this lifetime โ the followers, the acclaim, the good name โ dissolves within two generations. This is not nihilism; it is a call to a different priority. Give out Brahmanda Gyan โ cosmic truth โ without filtering it for palatability. Those who cannot receive it now will return in a subsequent birth and find it in the archives. "He who hates you will come back as someone who learns from you."
This is why Shri Praveen has not sought large, non-organic audiences. The Khepa Parampara grows the way a banyan tree grows: from a single Bija (seed), silently, without advertisement. Only those who are karmically ready will find it.
Conclusion
Kala Bhairava Sadhana is the path of the living death. It is the deliberate invitation of Bhairavi Yatana โ that thirty seconds of karmic dissolution that Yama normally administers in secret after death โ stretched into three to four conscious, painful, transformative years of life. Brahma went through his Yatana. Vishnu went through his. Mahesh became Neelakantha drinking the cosmic poison alone. This is the tradition you are being invited into.
If the conditions above resonate and you recognize yourself in them, approach this path with total seriousness. If they do not yet resonate, do not be discouraged โ continue with Vatuka Swarna Akarshana Bhairava, fulfill your karmic obligations, and the readiness will come. There is no rush. "Ultimately you will have to come to the Smashan. Koi rush nahi hai."
Jai Maa. Bhairava Kalike Namostute.
