Speaker 1: Greetings, Gurudev.
Gurudev: Greetings.
Speaker 1: Gurudev, a long time ago, the son of one of your disciples from Singapore visited you. At that time, he took your contact number, but he didn't provide his, or perhaps you forgot to take it. I have heard that you now need to contact him urgently. If you have any message for him, please share it.
Gurudev: Yes, I do need to reach him for a specific reason. He had come to me through the Sonarpur police station. He told me, "I have a special message from my mother for you. I live in Singapore and have a business there." He took my number, but he hasn't called since.
Speaker 1: If he is listening to this or watching this video, please contact this number. I am providing the number in the video: 98742-05238. Again, the number is 98742-05238. Please contact this number if you receive this message from Gurudev. You came from Singapore, your mother is a disciple of Gurudev, and you visited him for a specific reason. Please get in touch. Pronam (salutations), Gurudev.
Gurudev: Pronam.
Speaker 1: Gurudev, there is a lot of confusion among people regarding "Kaal Sarp Dosh" (Kaal Sarp Dosha). I would like to ask your dear disciple, Shantanu Ray, to explain what Kaal Sarp Dosh actually is. Is there any significance to it, or is it just a misconception forced upon people?
Shantanu Ray: Regarding Kaal Sarp, nothing is written in our Vedic astrology or the Puranas. There is no such "Yoga" or "Dosha" (flaw) called Kaal Sarp mentioned in the Vedas. This concept has been entirely created by astrologers for their own business interests and financial gain.
Shantanu Ray: To explain the term: "Kaal" refers to time or a specific moment. "Sarp" means snake, which symbolizes the "body." You might ask how a snake represents the body. If we look at science—biology specifically—the digestive tract, starting from the mouth and coiling through the stomach to the exit, resembles a snake. In ancient Puranic terms, this "snake-like" structure represents our physical form.
Shantanu Ray: Therefore, "Kaal" is the moment, and "Sarp" is the body. In astrology, this explains the birth process. When a child is born, the head usually emerges first. Until the entire body is delivered, the birth is not considered complete. The time between the head emerging and the full body being born is what we call "Kaal Sarp."
Shantanu Ray: Consequently, there is no way to "remove" Kaal Sarp. We are all born with it. I have Kaal Sarp, Gurudev sitting next to me has it, and the cameraman has it. To "remove" it, we would all have to be destroyed. This is a misunderstood term in astrology.
Shantanu Ray: In the Upanishads, we learn about "Karma." Even those who don't believe in God—atheists—say "Work is Worship." But why do we work? We do it for ourselves. We are all manifestations of the "Brahma" (the Supreme Creator). If we look at chemistry, we talk about atoms and molecules. We are molecules of the Brahma; the entire creation is made of these particles. The complete birth that happens within a specific duration is "Kaal Sarp."
Shantanu Ray: I urge astrologers to study more. If they study deeply, we can take astrology to a much higher level. If we don't have knowledge, we stay stuck in the same cycle of scaring people with "Sade Sati," "Mangalik," and "Kaal Sarp."
Gurudev: I have always known that Kaal Sarp cannot be "removed." However, I tell people: if you feel you must do something, go to Nasik, to Trimbakeshwar. Bathe in the Godavari River and offer prayers to Lord Shiva. That is the only path if you feel there is a flaw. But as we said, it is mostly a misconception.
Shantanu Ray: Exactly. Science has progressed so much. I hope people can move away from these superstitions through this video. We are all born under "Kaal" (Time) and we all possess a "Sarp" (Body). From birth to death, we are under the influence of time.
Shantanu Ray: In Roman symbols, you often see a snake biting its own tail. This signifies that as we are born, our death is also certain. We are essentially consuming our own time. There is no mention of "Kaal Sarp Dosh" as a curse in any authentic Vedic text. It was invented to exploit people's fears.
Speaker 1: Shantanu, I have a technical question. In astrology, it is said that if all planets are on one side of the 180-degree axis between Rahu and Ketu, and the other side is empty, it is called Kaal Sarp Dosh. What is the explanation for this?
Shantanu Ray: In astrology, Rahu and Ketu are always opposite each other. If all planets are on one side, it doesn't mean the person is cursed. In fact, if all planets are within six houses from the Moon, that horoscope is actually very strong and powerful. Such people are often exceptionally talented.
Shantanu Ray: Astrologers have framed this as a "flaw" to sustain their business. To truly understand astrology, one must study the Vedas, the Puranas, the Gita, and the Ramayana and Mahabharata. Everything is interconnected. We shouldn't make fools out of people.
Gurudev: We are studying astrology and continuing our research. We will discuss "Mangalik" and "Sade Sati" in future sessions. We want people to understand the truth because many people come to us after being cheated elsewhere. We want to prevent that.
Speaker 1: Let's conclude here for today. Pronam, Gurudev.
Gurudev: Pronam.

Spiritual Insight

Guru Shyama Khyapa and disciple Shantanu Ray deliver a groundbreaking revelation about Kaal Sarp Dosh: it is not mentioned in Vedic astrology or the Puranas. This concept was entirely created by astrologers for business interests and financial gain. The term breaks down as: "Kaal" = time/moment and "Sarp" = snake/body. In biological terms, the snake represents the human digestive tract—a coiled tube from mouth to exit. In astrological terms, "Kaal Sarp" refers to the birth process itself: the time between when the baby's head emerges and when the full body is delivered. This is the "Kaal Sarp" moment—the duration of complete birth.

Since everyone is born this way, everyone has Kaal Sarp—Gurudev, Shantanu, the cameraman, all of us. It cannot be "removed" because that would require destroying the body itself. The Guru clarifies that if people feel compelled to do something, they can visit Trimbakeshwar in Nasik, bathe in the Godavari River, and pray to Lord Shiva. However, this is more for psychological peace than any actual "dosh" removal.

Shantanu Ray explains that in the Upanishads, we are all manifestations of Brahma (the Supreme Creator)—we are molecules of the Divine. The Roman symbol of a snake biting its own tail represents this cycle: birth and death are certain, and we consume our own time. Regarding the technical astrological definition (all planets between Rahu-Ketu axis), Shantanu clarifies that Rahu and Ketu are always opposite each other. If all planets are on one side, it doesn't indicate a curse—in fact, such horoscopes are often very strong and powerful, producing exceptionally talented individuals. The Guru announces that future sessions will debunk "Mangalik" and "Sade Sati" myths as well, emphasizing that many people have been cheated by astrologers using these fear-based concepts. The message is clear: study the Vedas, Puranas, Gita, and epics to understand the interconnected truth, and don't let superstition fool you.
