Interviewer: Gurudev, please speak to us. Right at the beginning of 2020, you mentioned that the people of the world would have to endure various types of suffering in different ways. You gave a span of 30 years for this. Recently, we have seen the first step: the Coronavirus. Following that, there was a fire on the flag of the Puri Jagannath Temple. When the flag first fell, you issued a warning to everyone. In a previous episode, you mentioned that this [the virus] is just the "Teasle Gourd" (Kakrol) and the "Jackfruit" (Kathal) is yet to come. I request you to shed some light on what this "Jackfruit" actually is.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: You all are bothering me so much! I am getting the same question from many places: "What is going to happen?" How can I say for sure? I can only speak based on what I see through my calculations. It might not even happen. Calculations aren't always 100% accurate. Many people have made many predictions in various ways.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Look at this Coronavirus; it is a man-to-man transmission. If humans mix with other humans, it spreads. If they stay apart, it doesn't. It is a contagious, infectious disease. Therefore, we must listen to what the doctors are saying. First comes science—the doctors. When "His" [God's] call comes, we call it the "Doctor." I'm breaking down the word: "Dak" (Call) and "Tar" (His). When the call of the World-Lord comes, we say, "Go to the doctor."
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Anyway, doctors are His creation too. Currently, if we have a headache, we go to a doctor; we don't immediately go to God. We only turn to God when the doctor says the disease is bad or incurable. Until then, we try medical treatment. The doctors are repeatedly saying one thing: stay away from other people. This is a fact. They have proven that man is man's own enemy right now. If a man dies of a heart attack on the street today, people won't touch him. I once said a time would come when humans wouldn't touch each other. That time has arrived. Coronavirus has created a level of terror and panic that wasn't even seen during World War II.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Now, I am speaking about India specifically. Our India is a land of saints and sages. The dust of the feet of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Rishi Aurobindo, and Rishi Bankim Chandra is here. Bama Khepa's blessings are here. So, I believe nothing too catastrophic will happen here. If we remain cautious—the way our Honorable Chief Minister is alerting people and how everyone has stepped up to help—we will be okay.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: However, we must be careful. It is better not to mingle suddenly with those coming from far away. They should be tested to see if they carry the virus. The main virus is Corona, nothing else. People must be conscious. This is science-based: wash your hands before eating, don't go into large gatherings, and avoid people for now. There is a curfew from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM tomorrow; there must be a reason for it. It is a form of silence, a strike against the virus. People should follow it. When the administration realizes a disease is dangerous and contagious, they ask us to stay home for a day. They will surely do something to kill the virus while people are indoors. Staying home for one day is not a big deal. We can spend time with family, talk, and eat.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: This disease is truly not a good one. Now, regarding the "Jackfruit" (Kathal): When the flag at the Puri Jagannath Temple caught fire, I was very frightened. I said then that this is just the beginning; it's an indication. Everything significant is at the "Chura" (the temple peak). You'll notice that no vulture or crow ever sits there; it is that powerful. When we go to Puri, we look at the peak. That peak catching fire means something has happened. Perhaps the Father [Lord Jagannath] is displeased. I don't see the science in the fire, but it is an omen.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: The reason I said "Jackfruit" is because we are hearing about an asteroid/meteoroid heading toward Earth. No one knows exactly where it will land or the exact timing. But it is a large asteroid. According to what NASA and ISRO are saying, its velocity is terrifying. If it enters Earth's orbit, Jupiter usually acts as a shield and deflects such objects. Jupiter is above our heads, the Guru of the Devas. It has saved Earth many times.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: But if this one enters Earth's orbit, there's no telling where it will fall. That is why I said another "Pralay" (cataclysm) might occur. This is my calculation; I could be wrong. I pray to God that it doesn't happen. But the diameter of this object is about 2.5 to 3 kilometers. Wherever it hits, that place will be finished. It will cause a massive earthquake. A similar object once wiped out the dinosaurs. So, we are seeing the "Teasle Gourd" (Corona) now, but how will we handle the "Jackfruit"? Corona can be prevented through science and consciousness. Our scientists and doctors are working constantly to ensure it doesn't escalate. The government is taking every possible step.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: The problem is our stubbornness. Some people say, "So what if I die?" That attitude is our downfall. This "Adamant" nature is the curse. I see something coming from above. I suspect it might fall somewhere in the Arabian Sea. This is just my suspicion; don't quote me as a news report! It is expected to hit around the 29th [of April]. I pray that Jupiter deflects it and saves Earth once again.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: We have a saying in a poem: "We did not die in the great famine, we survived and built homes. We survived by the grace of Fate, wearing the mark of immortality. We know the Gods as our kin, and light the lamps for them. In this very house, we have seen the divinity in man."
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Bengalis have a heart full of nectar. We have seen Vivekananda; his message has spread across the world. We have faced many diseases and plagues before. Our ancestors cleaned the streets with brooms and buckets. Think of Sister Nivedita; she cleaned the streets herself under Vivekananda's instructions. We must be conscious now. We must follow what the doctors and scientists say. We have survived famines and pandemics before, and we didn't die. We are the children of immortality. We will survive.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: We have established a relationship with the Divine. We have seen Ramakrishna right here in Kolkata. If you have a cough, cold, or breathing trouble, go to the doctor immediately. Don't be ashamed. Don't worry about money; the government is providing help. If you see symptoms, go to the hospital. There are doctors ready to help you so you can return home healthy.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: The "Jackfruit" I mentioned refers to that asteroid. Both ISRO and NASA are talking about it. It will approach Earth by the 29th. It will touch the Earth's atmosphere and could cause great damage. That's why I said you've seen the "Teasle Gourd," but you haven't seen the "Jackfruit" yet.
