Friends, as you can see, a paralyzed patient has come here to Baba for treatment. He [Baba] has treated him to the best of his ability through his devotees. He treated him with Mahamrityunjaya holy ash and chanted mantras. Now, I am going to find out what happened to him.

Sister, what happened to your husband?
Wife:
My husband had a fall. He suffered from epilepsy, and he fell during a seizure. After the fall, one side of his brain was damaged. Because of that damage, he became paralyzed. However, he was still living a relatively normal life afterward; he was undergoing physiotherapy and was on medication. But recently, I've noticed that his speech is failing, or he can't speak at all. Now, his speech isn't clear, and he cannot move normally. He can't even stand. We used to be able to make him stand and walk if two people held him, but now he can't even do that. He also just stares blankly for long periods.
Reporter:
And is he eating properly?
Wife:
He isn't eating properly because he can't. He hasn't really eaten for four or five days.
Reporter:
So, you've come to this Gurudev—how did you get here? How did you find out about him?
Wife:
I had been searching for a long time. I spoke to a local doctor, Dr. S. K. Roy. Dr. Roy gave us the information. He said, "No medical doctor can do anything more; you should go there." So, we came in February. At that time, Baba said, "Alright, take this Mahamrityunjaya ash, apply it for 21 days, and then come back." But right as we were about to return, the lockdown started. During those days, Baba gave me some sandalwood; I eventually bought some white sandalwood and would grind it to apply to his body. That's what I've been doing.
Reporter:
Well, now you have come and brought him here again. Let's see what happens. Whatever happens, "Ma" [the Goddess] will do it. Gurudev is just a medium, a middleman, so to speak. He works through her. If your husband is to get well, "Ma" is the one who will do it. Pray to her and keep Baba informed; call him occasionally to update him, okay? Where is your home?
Wife:
Bongaon.
Reporter:
Bongaon? That is quite far. Baba said he would give a Mahamrityunjaya amulet, right? He told you to bring a large silver casing after Lakshmi Puja. He said you don't need to bring him [the husband]; you can come alone.
Reporter:
[Pointing to a child] Who is this boy?
Wife:
This is his son.
Reporter:
Oh dear. Perhaps Baba can give him something for protection as well, especially at such a young age. Anyway, go and talk to Baba now.

[To the camera/family] Now that you have brought him here, we hope he recovers. Even if he improves just a little bit, bring him back to Baba and "Ma" once more. Thank you.
