When Mahadev was performing the Tandava dance with the body of Sati, Lord Narayan used his Sudarshan Chakra to divide her body into 51 pieces. When his shoulders were finally empty, he went to stay at the Kashi Vishwanath Dham. We know this storyâit is said that from that day, he became "Kashi-vasi" (a resident of Kashi). He placed his trident there and said that Kashi would henceforth reside on the tip of his trident. That is why it is called "Hanging Kashi." So, the issue isâat some point in time and for some reason, the Shivling that was at Kashi Vishwanath Dham was displaced. There is a current controversy about the Gyanvapi Mosque. I want to ask youâwhat is happening at the Gyanvapi Mosque and is the discovery of the Shivling there true or false?

Listen to me. During Aurangzeb's timeâit must have been Aurangzebâan attack was carried out on Kashi Vishwanath. The Shivling was taken from there and thrown into a well. We all know this. The original Shivling is still inside that well. It has been under the supervision of Muslims all this time, and they have preserved it. The one we see now in Kashi Vishwanath is a replica; it is not the original. The original was moved long ago. It went into the well. This is what is said in history. They have kept it hidden with great care and didn't let anyone see it. We have installed a new stone as the Shivling at Kashi Vishwanath, and that is what is being worshipped now.

So, Gurudev, you just said that the original Shivling is inside the pond or well of the Gyanvapi Mosque. Is this absolutely true or false? What do you think?
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
It is true. 100,000% true. There is no doubt about it. Wherever our major temples wereâeven look at the Taj Mahalâit was once a Shiva temple, and now it is the Taj Mahal. Proof is emerging now; slowly, the truth is coming out. Wherever our temples stood, they built mosques over them. They ruled for 500 yearsâthe Mughal Empire ruled for a long timeâand they changed many things. But some things cannot be hidden forever. They could not hide everything from the eyes of the people. The Gyanvapi Mosque is right next to the Vishwanath Temple. I have been there; I have seen it. It is a huge temple complex.

Gurudev, regarding the current debate, what message do you want to give to the various communities? What is your opinion?
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
One thing is becoming clearâslowly, the truth is emerging. It is coming out for the people to see. The same is happening with other religions as well. But there is a prophecyâI have read it thoroughlyâthat one day, only one faith will prevail across India: Hindutva. It is said that no other religion will find a place here, and that is slowly becoming apparent. We say that the Kalki Avatar has already been born. Kalki is the final avatar of Lord Narayan. There are many things associated with thisâfor example, the Badrinath Temple will be destroyed, and the Jagannath Temple in Puri will be destroyed. These will happen as Kaliyug progresses. When Kalki arrives, there will be massive floods at the Jagannath Temple, and He will reside in that temple. Other temples like Badrinath and Konark will also be destroyed. This is not a lie. We are seeing signs of this now. Whatever was prophesied is coming true.

How do you view the sudden discovery of the Shivling at the Gyanvapi Mosque?
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
They kept it hidden; we did not know, but now we do. It was hidden from public view, but now people can see it. Both the Shivling and the Nandi (bull) are there. Now people can see what they have been playing with. I do not want to get into an argument. Whatever the Court decides will be final. We cannot give the decision; the Court must.

So, you want a resolution that involves both communitiesâIslam and Hinduismâworking together?
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
Exactly. Look, individual efforts are not enough. The Mughals ruled for 500 years, and the British for 200. Before them, the Shakas, Huns, Pathansâthey all came. But they could not erase Hindutva. Hindutva remains. Even today, we proudly say we are Hindus. After 500 years of Muslim rule and 200 years of British rule, Hindutva is still here. This is the specialty of Hindutva.

You mentioned earlier that Hindutva is awakening and there is a stir among Hindus worldwide.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
We are sitting here, and based on the news we receive from different places, that is what we are seeing. Hindutva is rising. And as I said, the Kalki Avatar is likely already here. It is said that blood is coming out of Jagannath's bodyâthis is a terrifying sign. When humans fight and blood is shed, that is one thing, but when it comes from the deity, it is different. We can certainly say that bad times are ahead. You can see the state of the worldâthe destruction happening globally is unbelievable. Nature is so angry; we have not seen it like this before.

Yes, it is a matter of debate. They kept it hidden, which was not right. But I want a peaceful solution. I want both sides to come to an agreement to avoid a major conflict. They have been protecting the deity for 500 years. Why speak against them now? They kept it safe within the mosque all this time. You have to acknowledge that. As Hindus, we must realize that despite 500 years of Muslim rule and 200 years of British rule, they could not suppress us. Hindutva was, is, and will remain. Some Hindus make comments without understanding the depth of this, which I do not like.
