Disciple: Gurudev, I saw the Homa taking place today. I went there and captured some photos of the sacred fire and Mother, the Goddess.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: You know, this will be the last one. This temple is being dismantled. The municipality is breaking it down because the pond needs to be renovated and beautified. They told me, "You have to leave. We will keep the temple, but you must vacate the area."
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I have decided to leave. As a seeker, it is either a "Yes" or a "No." When they gave me three years for the Mahamrityunjay rituals and another year for the Tara Homa, they did not say anything then. I have spent eight years here in total. Now they say I must go. So, everything is settled. I will hand over the keys on Wednesday and will no longer be here.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Mother will remain. They said the temple would not close and worship would continue, but no Bhog Prasad (sanctified food) can be cooked here anymore. They said we could bring it from home. There were many such questions, but regardless, we are vacating the place this Wednesday.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Since it is not my own place, I cannot force my stay or get into legal battles. I do not want to involve anyone or make a scene. I will leave quietly and peacefully. I have already sent most of my belongings; the rest will go tomorrow. I will hand over the keys and ask them to take care of Mother's gold jewelry.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I have informed my disciples everywhere. I do not want any trouble; I want to keep my word. I told them long ago, "When you need the space, let me know, and I will leave." However, one needs a bit of time to move. They gave me that time and recently asked me to move quickly so they could start the work. They mentioned that if the funds are not used, they might be returned.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: It is a good thing. They want to improve the cremation ground, the Shmashan. I am a lover of the Shmashan; I have spent 32 years living in various cremation grounds since the CPIM era. I told the Municipality Chairman, "I will come and sit here occasionally, please do not stop me." He agreed.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I am telling all my followers and visitors not to come here for now. I will not be able to perform any rituals or see people here anymore. Without a proper temple and Mother's presence, certain rituals—especially for serious illnesses like cancer, AIDS, or TB—cannot be done. They told me to do these things at home, but these are things belonging to the Shmashan; they cannot be done at home.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: The renovation is good. The back area is currently dark and scary, and they plan to add lights and seating. I am vacating as requested. I am looking for a small piece of land, maybe 1 or 1.5 Kattha, to set up a place for Mother so I do not have to depend on anyone or ask for favors. It will take a year or two to settle.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: A lady from Switzerland heard about this and offered to pay for the land so that Mother can be established properly. We are looking for a spot for Mother and a kitchen, that is all I need.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: So, I request everyone who loves me and visits me: please do not come for the time being. I am a bit upset and stressed because so many people come here with their sorrows, and I cannot turn them away without being able to help. Let us see what Mother has planned. She has kept me here for a long time, and she will decide where I go next.
Disciple: We will provide updates through videos about what happens next. Stay healthy and well. Pronam, Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Pronam.
Narrator: The Homa has just concluded. Gurudev is quite heavy-hearted. After so many years of serving Mother here, he has to leave this place. Mother will stay, but Gurudev must move. Let us see what the future holds.
