Why have you come here to Gurudev today?
Young Man:
I have come—I've been here before. My brother was in a similar state. We had taken him to doctors and had check-ups done everywhere. We took him to major hospitals, and everyone said... the doctor finally said he wouldn't survive. They told us to take him home. Then I brought him here because I had heard that coming here helps. After bringing him just once, my brother recovered. When I took him back to the doctor for a check-up, the doctor said he no longer had any disease. He is completely fine now. We didn't have much faith before, but now our belief is strong. Then I saw him [referring to the elderly man]; he is my maternal uncle and lives in Asansol. He has no family of his own and was staying with my maternal aunts, but they don't believe in this. He has been in this bedridden state for a long time. When we heard about it, I brought him here within two days. Today, I've come to Gurudev as a last hope. If he can be helped through him, I will bring him back again, because the medicines weren't working before.
Interviewer:
Is he completely bedridden?
Young Man:
Absolutely. Now we believe that the treatments will work; we will do whatever is needed. I am fully confident that he will get better.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Yes, that's right. Keep giving him the doctor's medicine. I am telling them—let the medical treatment continue as it is, and we are doing what we can from a spiritual standpoint. I believe he will get better by the grace of the Mother, the Father, and Bamdev. I hope he will recover.
Young Man:
I have come here with hope, and I believe he will get well.
Interviewer:
What can I say... he will surely get better. With Gurudev's and the Mother's blessings, everything will be fine.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
