Young Man:
Greetings, Gurudev!
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Greetings, my son.
Young Man:
Dear audience, I hope you are all doing well. This video is intended for a brief but important announcement. As you can see, Gurudev is sitting with us, but he is currently using an oxygen tube. After 10 days, Gurudev has finally returned home today. He was hospitalized in a nursing home due to a lung infection. I wouldn't say he is completely well yet, but he is on the path to recovery.
Young Man:
The reason for this video is that Guru Purnima is on the upcoming Thursday, July 10th. You all know that at the Shantikunj of Rajpur Mahashashan, we usually host a large event where Gurudev is present and you can all seek his blessings. It always creates a beautiful atmosphere.
Young Man:
However, this year, we will not be able to celebrate Guru Purnima in that manner. Because Gurudev is very unwell, it is not possible to take him there. Therefore, Guru Purnima will be celebrated very simply this year. Those who still wish to visit the temple may do so. Gurudev's Paduka (sacred sandals) will be kept there, and you may offer your prayers. You may also partake in Bhog (food offerings), but a personal meeting with Gurudev is highly unlikely this year.
Young Man:
I must emphasize that while some of you may know Gurudev's residence, please do not come here and disturb him. We are not allowing any visitors at this time. He is suffering from a lung infection, and we do not know what kind of germs each of us might be carrying. Any new infection could be very dangerous for him. We simply cannot take that risk. Now, Gurudev, please say a few words to your followers. They have been waiting to hear from you for a long time.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Yes, I fell ill quite suddenly, as you know. I went to the hospital immediately, and the doctor admitted me. My condition was quite critical; I honestly thought I wouldn't survive. However, by the grace of the doctors, nurses, and the hospital staff, I have improved. Two other doctors examined me as well and prescribed medications. One positive thing is that my breathlessness has subsided for now, and I can speak more clearly. Now, tell me, what would you like to know?
Young Man:
I was just mentioning the upcoming Guru Purnima on the 10th.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Yes, Guru Purnima on the 10th is a day dedicated to the Guru. On that day, worshiping the Guru and seeking his blessings is very important. I have traveled to many places on Guru Purnima to receive prayers, and many people have gathered in my prayer room as well. But this year, the doctor has forbidden me from having any contact. My feet cannot be washed with water. My condition is COPD.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Doctors have said that I shouldn't meet with too many people or let anyone touch me. They also said that since the weather is quite poor, I need to be extra cautious. I must remain as fragile as a piece of cotton. There's no need to fear, but I must follow these precautions. For the next 10 days, I need to take two cylinders of oxygen every day to clear my chest. After that, I should be fine, but for now, I must avoid crowds.
Young Man:
You heard it from Gurudev himself. I hope this provides you some reassurance. As Gurudev mentioned, a direct meeting is impossible this year. It is our collective responsibility to prioritize his recovery. Once again, please do not come to his house and disturb him. His health is our main concern. So, as I said, those who visit the temple can offer their prayers to the Paduka and have the Prasad. But you won't be able to meet him personally. It is very difficult to meet me as well.
Young Man:
That is all for this short update. Please stay healthy and well. Greetings, Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Greetings, my son. Greetings.
