00:00 - 00:09 Disciple 1: Gurudev, Pranam.
Gurudev: Pranam, Pranam.
Disciple 1: Gurudev, we have a special question for you today. Whatever we do, we always say, “I did it,” or “We did it.” This sense of "I-ness" (ego) is very strong in us. But if we can remove the "I" (ego) from it, we see that everything is Mother's contribution. Whatever is happening, she is the one doing it. Could you tell us a bit more about this?
Gurudev: Yes, we are obsessed with "we" and "I." We maintain this sense of self-importance. But I say, remove the "A" (the "I"). Everything belongs to Mother. It is not mine; it is Mother's. We say "mine"—this money is mine, this jewelry is mine, this house is mine. But remove that "A." Say it all belongs to Mother. Everything is given by her. She is the one looking after everything; you are doing nothing. You think you are doing it, but you are doing nothing at all. Mother is doing everything. So, there is no point in saying "mine." Remove the "A" from "Aamitto" (ego), and you will see everything becomes Mother’s. Things will become simple and easy. You won’t have the burden of responsibility anymore; it will all be Mother's responsibility. We tend to take the burden on ourselves and act prematurely, but we don't realize that everything is hers. My house, my jewelry, my money—it’s all Mother’s. But we keep saying "mine." People are crazy about this "mine." If you remove the "A," the ego goes away. If you say everything is Mother’s—your money, jewelry, house—everything is hers. Yes, go on.
Disciple 2: Gurudev, you explained that everything is Mother's. If you could give us some examples of Mother’s infinite power, it would help us understand better.
Gurudev: Well, look, I can tell you a story by Aesop. If you listen... it's a story from abroad, not from here. A couple had a daughter. The girl had been sick since birth. After showing her to many doctors, the parents gave up hope. They said she would never get well. They were very unhappy and decided that instead of keeping her with them, they would leave her somewhere. So, they took the girl and left her on the road by a hospital. They told her, “Sit here, we are going to get some food.” The girl sat there waiting, but her parents never came back. The girl couldn't even speak properly.
Gurudev: A nurse was passing by that road. Seeing the girl crying, she picked her up and took her to the hospital. She found a place for her in the hospital and looked after her. She stayed there for a while. Then one day, the senior doctors came for a round. They saw the girl. She had no bed or name in the hospital; she was just wandering around. The doctors asked, “Who is this?” The nurse explained that she found her on the road and brought her here because she had an incurable disease.
Gurudev: The doctors took the girl, examined her thoroughly, and said only one thing: “This girl won't live long. She has an incurable disease. It cannot be treated with medicine or anything else. Her death is inevitable.” The girl broke down in tears. Seeing her cry, one doctor said, “Don't cry, everything will be fine. Keep this picture with you. You will get well in a few days.”
Gurudev: The doctor gave her a picture of Jesus Christ. He said, “This is your doctor. No one else can cure you.” He told her to pray to the picture every day and she would get well. From then on, the girl prayed regularly and kept the picture under her pillow.
Gurudev: One day, more senior inspectors came. Seeing the girl, they asked why she was there without a bed or a name. The nurse explained that the previous doctors said she wouldn't survive. They said, “Send her to us, we will examine her.” After checking her, they said the same thing—that there was no way for her to survive.
Gurudev: The picture was of Jesus Christ. The doctor had told her, “He is your doctor, call upon him and everything will be fine.” So, the girl started calling upon Jesus. Later, the senior doctors came back, examined her again, and said, “She has no disease! She is completely cured. Why are you keeping her in the hospital? She is healthy.”
Gurudev: The hospital authorities wouldn't keep her anymore, so the nurse took her home. She raised her as her own, and the girl called her "Mother." On December 25th, Jesus Christ’s birthday, the girl really wanted to see Jesus. She was older now and said to her mother, “Today is his birthday.” In those countries, it’s a tradition to make cakes, give money, or clothes on his birthday. Her mother said, “Keep the door open today. We shouldn't keep the door closed.” The girl asked why, and the mother replied, “Because Jesus can come at any time.”
Gurudev: The girl was excited to see what he looked like. First, a man came with no clothes and said, “Mother, can you give me some clothes? It’s snowing outside and it’s very cold.” The girl told her mother, and her mother said, “Yes, give him some.” They gave him some warm clothes they had. The girl sat down again. After a while, another man came and said, “Mother, I am very hungry. Give me something to eat.” She told her mother, and her mother said, “Give him some cake.” So, she gave him cake and he left after giving his blessings. A third time, a man came and said, “Mother, can you give me some money? I need to buy medicine.” Her mother said, “Give him whatever money we have.”
Gurudev: After these three visits, the girl started crying in front of the picture of Jesus. She said, “Mother, I wanted to see Jesus, my doctor.” She was heartbroken. At midnight, while she was crying, her mother comforted her, saying, “He will come, don't worry.” Later that night, Jesus Christ appeared to her and blessed her. The girl was overwhelmed with joy. Then she fell asleep. Her mother had told her all along, “He is your real doctor; these other doctors are nothing.” That is how the girl’s incurable disease was cured, and she lived happily with her mother. What do you think of this?
Disciple 1: Gurudev, it shows that if a person can let go of their \"I-ness\" (ego) and call upon God sincerely, God might not come himself, but he sends someone as a messenger to help and guide them. If you could give us another valuable example like this, it would be wonderful.
Gurudev: This is enough for now. Let people listen to this.
Disciple 1: Our only request to the people is to try and let go of your ego. Only then will you see that you have no more suffering.
Gurudev: Because if you give the responsibility to Mother, you can sleep, eat, and live in peace. You can socialize with friends. But if you add the \"A\" and make it \"mine,\" that’s where the trouble starts. That’s why we say, remove the \"A\" and give everything to Mother. Do it in Mother's name, and you will have no pain, no sorrow, and no suffering. You will live in peace. You will live in heaven. That’s it.
Disciple 3: Gurudev, Pranam.
Gurudev: Pranam.
Disciple 3: There was one thing I wanted to know. In the story you told, how did Jesus Christ actually appear to the girl?
Gurudev: Jesus Christ came to her three times. The first time he came unclothed and took the clothes. The second time he came for food. The third time he came for medicine money. Jesus told the girl, “I came to you three times, but you didn't recognize me. I am that Jesus, your doctor. You didn't recognize me, and that's why you were crying. Seeing your tears, I came myself to show you my form and bless you.” This is what he explained to her. He told her, “I came three times. Once as a man without clothes, once as a hungry man, and once for medicine. Each time you gave me everything. I am very pleased. That is why I have appeared to you and blessed you.”
Gurudev: That’s all for now.
Disciple 3: Gurudev, Pranam.
Gurudev: Pranam.

Spiritual Insight

Guru Shyama Khyapa teaches that the root of all suffering is the ego—the sense of "I" and "mine." By removing this ego and surrendering all responsibilities to the Divine Mother, we free ourselves from the burden of anxiety and pain. The story of the girl's healing reminds us that when human science reaches its limit, faith in the Ultimate Doctor can perform miracles. God often tests our faith by appearing in the guise of those in need—the cold, the hungry, and the sick.
