DEVOTEE:
Guru-ji, my respects.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
My blessings.
DEVOTEE:
Guru-ji, your health hasnāt been good for a few days, which is why you haven't been able to go to Shantikunj. But this morning, you sent us to see the condition of Shantikunj. Weāve made a video and shown it to you. If you could say a few words to your followers? Many devotees are calling because of your illness and their inability to visit the temple. They want to come, but we are telling them not to. If you could address them...
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
Well, Iām feeling a bit better than before. I think I caught a severe cold. Thereās water on two, three sides. Being on an island, I think I caught a chill. I didnāt realize it, but my health had been deteriorating for two or three days. I didnāt tell anyone. Then suddenly, it got worse. Anyway, Iāve taken some medicine and feel slightly better now.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
And about the rain... a gentleman came from Arambagh this morning. He said thereās no rain in Arambagh. Itās dry, though the sky is cloudy. I told him to look at the state hereāwater has accumulated everywhere. Thereās so much rain. Water has even entered the Mother's room. I told him [the disciple] to see if water had entered the Mother's room and to move her to a higher place, on top of a wooden bench. Dr. Sujit Kar called and said this rain will continue for 48 hours. He advised me to stay safe. I immediately called Dulal and told him to go and check on the Mother. I knew water would enter the Mother's room with this much rain. This has happened twice this year; before this, it never happened. So much rain, so much water. Water in the Mother's room and fish swimming there is an ominous sign for me. This never happened in my life. Itās happened twice this year. Fish swimming in the Mother's room is a bad omen. I donāt know what will happen next.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
Sujit Babu called and said it would continue for another two days, 48 hours. I had already said that 2021 would be a terrible year, difficult for people to get through. Various natural disasters will occur, and peopleās suffering will be endless. Besides COVID-19, thereās an unknown fever spreading. It doesnāt seem to leave. Once it hits a house, it covers everyone. Earlier, people would say itās COVID. Now they aren't saying that, but every house has fever, cough, and cold. Maybe itās influenza. It used to happen before too, spreading from one person to the whole family. It could be that, hard to say. Overall, the situation is very bad. If it continues to rain like this, things will get worse. This rain is spreading all the way to Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Sujit Babu says thereās more rain coming. Iām worried. If it keeps raining like this, the Mother's condition will be bad, and so will the peopleās.
DEVOTEE:
Guru-ji, we all want you to recover quickly. Some followers are calling on behalf of everyone. People from Bangladesh are also waiting. But because of your illness, theyāve been asked to wait until you're better.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
Yes, the illness was quite severe this time. I didnāt pay attention, and it took a serious turn. Anyway, Iām falling ill quite often lately. Physical weakness and age... age brings many ailments. Falling ill occasionally isn't new. I want everyone to be well. The current situation is unbearable for me. Iām asking the Mother to stop this rain. Thereās been enough rain; it's been good for farming, but now it should stop. Otherwise, vegetables and greens wonāt be available.
DEVOTEE:
Followers, youāve heard from Guru-ji himself. We're also including a video of the flooding at Shantikunj so you can understand the situation. Please pray for his quick recovery so he can return to his place.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
And please, tell them to stop disturbing me for a bit.
DEVOTEE:
Yes, please try not to call for at least five to seven days.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
They can call, that's fine, but don't disturb me. Two people came from Arambagh and Serampore this morning. Coming and disturbing like this shouldnāt happen. Everyone wants me, I understand. But Iām ill, physically weak, and doctors are calling to check on me. Iām relying on the Mother; whatever she does will happen. Thereās no point in seeing doctors. Iāve told the Mother.
DEVOTEE:
Guru-ji, excuse me for saying this, but devotees, please donāt come and disturb him at home. If heās well, heās available from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM and from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. He only stays home when heās unwell. If you come then... remember, if heās well, we are well. Please don't forget that. Coming to his house is going a bit too far.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
People think if they come to me, theyāll get better. "If we touch you, weāll get better. All our ailments will disappear if we touch you." What can I say?
DEVOTEE:
That's true, Guru-ji, but we need you to be well. Itās our job to keep you healthy. If you're resting because you're unwell and we come and disturb you, is that right?
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
Many people are coming from outside, calling from various places, asking when I'll be back. It's annoying. I keep telling them, once I'm better... I donāt usually fall ill, but age catches up sometimes. People are so desperate, asking when I'll come. Let the fever subside, then Iāll tell you. People have no common sense. A person who serves all year is unwell, and their excitement knows no bounds. "When will you come? Tell us when you'll come." I told someone yesterday, "Youāre crazy, out of your mind." You see someone is ill, and instead of asking how they are or why they're ill, you just ask when they'll be back. "Can I come tomorrow?" Itās like a joke.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
Anyway, enough said. Iāll need another three or four days to recover. Iām physically very weak. This fever leaves you very weak. Iām seeing this with everyone, and myself too. Itās painful. So, Iām asking people not to come or try to contact me. Try after five or six days or a week. I think Iāll be physically better by then.
DEVOTEE:
Devotees, youāve heard. We'll update on YouTube when Guru-ji returns. Until then, please donāt disturb him.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
You know, many people don't watch YouTube. They just show up and say, "We didn't know you were ill. Oh dear, we've already come." I tell them it's all on YouTube. But they donāt care. Some people came from Siliguri, Dinhata, Mathabhanga, and Cooch Behar the other night. It's hard to manage this while being ill. Anyway, I'll be better in five or seven days.
DEVOTEE:
Guru-ji, my respects.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA:
My blessings.
