DEVOTEE: Guru-ji, my respects.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA: My blessings.
DEVOTEE: Guru-ji, your health hasn’t been good for a few days, which is why you haven't been able to go to Shantikunj. But this morning, you sent us to see the condition of Shantikunj. We’ve made a video and shown it to you. If you could say a few words to your followers? Many devotees are calling because of your illness and their inability to visit the temple. They want to come, but we are telling them not to. If you could address them...
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA: Well, I’m feeling a bit better than before. I think I caught a severe cold. There’s water on two, three sides. Being on an island, I think I caught a chill. I didn’t realize it, but my health had been deteriorating for two or three days. I didn’t tell anyone. Then suddenly, it got worse. Anyway, I’ve taken some medicine and feel slightly better now.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA: And about the rain... a gentleman came from Arambagh this morning. He said there’s no rain in Arambagh. It’s dry, though the sky is cloudy. I told him to look at the state here—water has accumulated everywhere. There’s so much rain. Water has even entered the Mother's room. I told him [the disciple] to see if water had entered the Mother's room and to move her to a higher place, on top of a wooden bench. Dr. Sujit Kar called and said this rain will continue for 48 hours. He advised me to stay safe. I immediately called Dulal and told him to go and check on the Mother. I knew water would enter the Mother's room with this much rain. This has happened twice this year; before this, it never happened. So much rain, so much water. Water in the Mother's room and fish swimming there is an ominous sign for me. This never happened in my life. It’s happened twice this year. Fish swimming in the Mother's room is a bad omen. I don’t know what will happen next.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA: Sujit Babu called and said it would continue for another two days, 48 hours. I had already said that 2021 would be a terrible year, difficult for people to get through. Various natural disasters will occur, and people’s suffering will be endless. Besides COVID-19, there’s an unknown fever spreading. It doesn’t seem to leave. Once it hits a house, it covers everyone. Earlier, people would say it’s COVID. Now they aren't saying that, but every house has fever, cough, and cold. Maybe it’s influenza. It used to happen before too, spreading from one person to the whole family. It could be that, hard to say. Overall, the situation is very bad. If it continues to rain like this, things will get worse. This rain is spreading all the way to Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Sujit Babu says there’s more rain coming. I’m worried. If it keeps raining like this, the Mother's condition will be bad, and so will the people’s.
DEVOTEE: Guru-ji, we all want you to recover quickly. Some followers are calling on behalf of everyone. People from Bangladesh are also waiting. But because of your illness, they’ve been asked to wait until you're better.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA: Yes, the illness was quite severe this time. I didn’t pay attention, and it took a serious turn. Anyway, I’m falling ill quite often lately. Physical weakness and age... age brings many ailments. Falling ill occasionally isn't new. I want everyone to be well. The current situation is unbearable for me. I’m asking the Mother to stop this rain. There’s been enough rain; it's been good for farming, but now it should stop. Otherwise, vegetables and greens won’t be available.
DEVOTEE: Followers, you’ve heard from Guru-ji himself. We're also including a video of the flooding at Shantikunj so you can understand the situation. Please pray for his quick recovery so he can return to his place.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA: And please, tell them to stop disturbing me for a bit.
DEVOTEE: Yes, please try not to call for at least five to seven days.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA: They can call, that's fine, but don't disturb me. Two people came from Arambagh and Serampore this morning. Coming and disturbing like this shouldn’t happen. Everyone wants me, I understand. But I’m ill, physically weak, and doctors are calling to check on me. I’m relying on the Mother; whatever she does will happen. There’s no point in seeing doctors. I’ve told the Mother.
DEVOTEE: Guru-ji, excuse me for saying this, but devotees, please don’t come and disturb him at home. If he’s well, he’s available from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM and from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. He only stays home when he’s unwell. If you come then... remember, if he’s well, we are well. Please don't forget that. Coming to his house is going a bit too far.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA: People think if they come to me, they’ll get better. "If we touch you, we’ll get better. All our ailments will disappear if we touch you." What can I say?
DEVOTEE: That's true, Guru-ji, but we need you to be well. It’s our job to keep you healthy. If you're resting because you're unwell and we come and disturb you, is that right?
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA: Many people are coming from outside, calling from various places, asking when I'll be back. It's annoying. I keep telling them, once I'm better... I don’t usually fall ill, but age catches up sometimes. People are so desperate, asking when I'll come. Let the fever subside, then I’ll tell you. People have no common sense. A person who serves all year is unwell, and their excitement knows no bounds. "When will you come? Tell us when you'll come." I told someone yesterday, "You’re crazy, out of your mind." You see someone is ill, and instead of asking how they are or why they're ill, you just ask when they'll be back. "Can I come tomorrow?" It’s like a joke.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA: Anyway, enough said. I’ll need another three or four days to recover. I’m physically very weak. This fever leaves you very weak. I’m seeing this with everyone, and myself too. It’s painful. So, I’m asking people not to come or try to contact me. Try after five or six days or a week. I think I’ll be physically better by then.
DEVOTEE: Devotees, you’ve heard. We'll update on YouTube when Guru-ji returns. Until then, please don’t disturb him.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA: You know, many people don't watch YouTube. They just show up and say, "We didn't know you were ill. Oh dear, we've already come." I tell them it's all on YouTube. But they don’t care. Some people came from Siliguri, Dinhata, Mathabhanga, and Cooch Behar the other night. It's hard to manage this while being ill. Anyway, I'll be better in five or seven days.
DEVOTEE: Guru-ji, my respects.
GURU SHYAMA KHYAPA: My blessings.
