Gurudev, a few days ago, the common people received your New Year's greetings, along with a hint of how the year would unfold. People didn't have to wait long. Just a few days later, we are dealing with this new variant, Omicron.
Gurudev:
I mentioned that a disease was coming that hadn't been named yet. Now it has been. Although it is less lethal, it is highly contagious.
Interviewer:
Gurudev, you were talking about the one in France, but currently, the whole world is going through Omicron. People haven't even recovered from its effects, and there are already signs of what might come next. You have been saying since 2021 that the times are not good.
Gurudev:
The times are not good because such phases can last for five, seven, ten, or even fifteen years. As I've said before, the planetary positions are very poor. These things will enter every household. Everyone will become frustrated. In Kolkata alone, 50% to 70% of people are affected.
Interviewer:
The data might not be completely accurate, but in West Bengal, cases jumped from 500 to 1,500, then to 4,000, and now nearly 9,000. While Kolkata is at the top, other states like Odisha are also affected.
Gurudev:
It will increase further. This is a pestilence that will reach every home. While the risk of death might be lower, the most concerning part is that doctors and nurses are being hospitalized in large numbers. Previously, the wealthy and famous were largely unaffected, but now we see people like Sourav Ganguly, Arup Biswas, Kunal Ghosh, and Srijit Mukherji getting infected.

Earlier, we heard about a few celebrities like singer Sajid-Wajid, but now the numbers are huge. It seems to be in every household.
Gurudev:
It's surprising because these people don't mingle much with the general public. Another concern is that hospitals are sending other patients home to clear beds for Omicron cases.

Other diseases still exist, but people are unable to get treatment for them because of the focus on Corona.
Gurudev:
Doctors are now labeling everything as Corona. If someone has a fever, it's stamped as Corona, regardless of other possible causes. This is very harmful.
Interviewer:
People are terrified. They wonder how other diseases will affect them alongside Corona. 2021 seemed to be heading toward normalcy, but now we are back to chaos. There's also this new variant found in France where 12 people are infected. France recently became the fifth country to cross 10 million cases. Why is this happening continuously?
Gurudev:
I believe the world is moving toward destruction. These are signs of that. People say the end is near. It might not happen instantly, but nature is taking its revenge. Plants, animals, and humans—everyone is being affected. It will lead to a sense of void or emptiness.
Interviewer:
You mean the population explosion is now reversing?
Gurudev:
Exactly. This is nature's way. If you visit the cremation grounds in the morning, you will see the sheer number of deaths.
Interviewer:
Usually, cremation grounds are peaceful, but recently they have been crowded like a fair. The furnaces never stop.
Gurudev:
I've heard of seven or eight cases recently where people had respiratory issues at night and died by morning. It's a strange illness.
Interviewer:
You mentioned earlier that Corona doesn't care about age. Even young people near your house have died suddenly.
Gurudev:
Yes, friends and acquaintances who were healthy during the day died by morning after sudden respiratory trouble. It's frightening.
Interviewer:
You spoke about the "wrath of nature."
Gurudev:
Nature is taking its revenge for the way humans have treated it. These diseases are nature's gifts, or perhaps God's way of thinning out the population. Besides the pandemic, many are dying in road accidents, boat accidents, and natural disasters. 12-13 people died just the other day in an accident. Nature is claiming lives in every way possible.
Interviewer:
The intensity of storms like Amphan was something even our parents hadn't seen. The frequency and severity of storms, lightning strikes, and even landslides have increased.
Gurudev:
Storms reaching 170-250 km/h were rare before, but now they are becoming common. Lightning strikes, once rare, are killing people almost every time it rains. Nature is completely displeased.
Interviewer:
People come to you every day looking for a way out or for initiation (diksha).
Gurudev:
What can I do? I am just a seeker. My phone doesn't stop ringing with people asking for help or reporting illnesses. My wife is very disturbed by it; she wants me to turn off the phone because she can't stand the constant news of death and sickness.
Interviewer:
You have dealt with this for years, but now your family is also feeling the weight of it.
Gurudev:
I served people for two years without a mask and stayed healthy. But now, there is an atmosphere of fear. People want me to heal them, but the overall environment is very heavy. It's like a doctor's wife seeing a surgery for the first time—it's overwhelming.
Interviewer:
You predicted these things for 2021. What is the solution now?
Gurudev:
There is no immediate solution. This is a "span" or a period that will continue. It might last five, seven, or nine years, similar to a planetary period like Sadesati. 2020, 2021, and 2022 have offered no resolution. This could last until 2025 or even 2030. By then, half the world might be empty.
Interviewer:
You used to say we don't need masks inside a temple.
Gurudev:
I still say that. You don't need a mask in the Mother's lap. But it's tragic that the doors of Kalighat, Tarapith, Dakshineswar, and Adyapith are closed. It's as if the Goddess doesn't want to see human faces anymore. God and nature have turned against humanity.
