Devotee: Greetings, Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Greetings, my child. Greetings.
Devotee: Gurudev, from the moment we wake up in the morning until we go to sleep at night, we observe various changes—changes in the weather, the temperature, the transition between light and darkness. Similarly, regarding the current era, if we look at the evolution of time, are we moving towards a Dark Age?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: We are certainly moving towards a Dark Age. The truth is, we are the ones who sowed these seeds. We planted them, and now we must endure the consequences. The fruit that grows from this will be poisonous. What we have planted is now bearing "poisonous fruit," and humans will perish after consuming it. We are steadily being pushed toward darkness.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Think back—places like Sikkim, Bhutan, and Arunachal used to be serene. There was a beautiful environment for meditation and spiritual practice. People used to travel to the Himalayas for peace. That is gone now. Look at the state of Sikkim today—it is devastated. We are responsible for this; no one else. We sowed the seeds of destruction, and we must eat the fruit.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: In the Satya Yuga (the Era of Truth), peace was abundant. No one practiced deceit; everyone lived in harmony. Peace is a profound thing, but now, peace is departing from this world.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Behind this crematorium, we built an ashram called Shanti Kunj (The Grove of Peace). The only reason for it is that people find peace here. Everyone who comes says they find tranquility in this place. People come in the morning and stay until evening or night. I sometimes ask them, "Why do you stay here for so long?" They reply, "Gurudev, the peace we find here is unlike anything we've found elsewhere." Peace is a rare thing now.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I performed the Maha Mrityunjaya Yagya for a thousand days specifically for world peace. I wanted peace to prevail on Earth. But it seems it was in vain. Looking at the world today, we have moved from Pralaya (destruction) to Maha Pralaya (great destruction). From 2019 to 2023, the destruction began, and by 2023, it took a massive form.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Ancient prophets like Baba Vanga and Nostradamus, and even the five friends from the Jagannath Temple who wrote prophecies—everything they predicted is coming true, word for word. I can see that by the end of 2023, things will become hellish. It will no longer be fit for human habitation.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: We hear news from everywhere—bodies floating in the Teesta River, the tragedies in Libya and Morocco. The whole world is in turmoil. Earthquakes are happening daily; somewhere, the earth is always shaking. These are signs of the Great Destruction.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I recently heard about a disease called Nipah, or "Disease X." They say it could kill 50 million people. It is far more dangerous than COVID-19. During COVID, many people died, including young children and doctors I knew personally. Now, they say this new threat is twenty times more lethal, and there is no medicine for it yet.
Devotee: Gurudev, if we are moving toward a Dark Age, we know that after every darkness, there is light. History shows us that great civilizations like the Indus Valley and Mesopotamia eventually vanished. Is there a possibility that everything will be wiped out again?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: It is possible. The sea levels are rising rapidly. I fear the Earth will be submerged. The ice is melting at an alarming rate, leading to tsunamis and tornadoes. There are reports of a massive asteroid—the size of 20 atomic bombs—heading toward Earth. If it hits, the Earth as we know it will vanish.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: I've heard prophecies that the sea will submerge Puri and swallow the Jagannath Temple. Out of seven provinces, six will go underwater. Only one will remain where Lord Jagannath will reside, and there will be no water there.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Look at Digha. A few years ago, there were hardly any waves. Now, the sea there has surpassed even Puri. It has become turbulent, with water crashing onto the roads. This is a sign. If a major earthquake occurs, a tsunami is inevitable. Japan just faced a 6.5 magnitude quake and issued a tsunami warning.
Devotee: Gurudev, those changes are on the surface, but changes are happening on the seabed too. A rare snake was recently spotted in Digha that isn't native to this region. Does this mean a total transformation is happening below the surface as well?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Yes, absolutely. There is so much under the ocean that hasn't been discovered. Scientists are now finding entire cities underwater, perfectly preserved. Places like Dwarka are submerged. Science is showing us that great disasters happened before, and they will happen again. Scientists are afraid the entire world will be covered by water. Antarctica is melting, and that is a very bad sign. The poisonous tree we planted is now fully grown.
Devotee: We used to enjoy the beauty of twilight and the early dawn. Will we lose those as well?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: You won't find those anymore. The beauty of the evening and the freshness of the morning are fading. During the Great Destruction, everything is lost. I don't know how many more will perish. Bodies are still being recovered from the Teesta in Sikkim.
Devotee: One last thing, Gurudev. We are told that Mother Yashoda once saw the entire universe inside Krishna's mouth. If the world resides within Krishna, then He is witnessing all this destruction. In the past, He has always saved the world, like when He lifted the Govardhan Hill.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: He saved us then, but look at Govardhan Hill now. It is shrinking, merging into the earth. What was once 50 feet is now barely a few feet high. The mountains are crumbling. There is a prophecy that the Himalayas will one day level with the earth. They say the holy rivers Ganga and Yamuna will eventually dry up.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Geologically, the Himalayas are considered "young" mountains, but their rocks are still soft and fragile. If a massive earthquake hits, they will crumble into pieces. We saw what happened in Libya—nature wiped out entire cities in seconds. Nature's power is incomprehensible to humans. We have exploited nature, and now nature is taking its revenge.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Pollution is at its peak. There is talk of nuclear threats in Ukraine. The very air we breathe is becoming toxic. Scientists say that ancient germs and viruses are being released from the melting ice—viruses that doctors have no experience with. We saw how helpless we were with COVID. Now they say 50 million more could die.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: This is why, for the past year or two, I have been telling everyone: stay away from the mountains and the sea. People ask, "Where else is there to go?" but I tell them to cancel their trips. Some students from here went to Sikkim recently and got stranded. It is pathetic. I saw a report of a grandmother and her grandson who went to Sikkim; the grandson never returned.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: From peace to destruction, everything we see now is destructive. We have passed the "morning" of our era and entered the "night."
Devotee: And we must hope for a new dawn.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: There will be a dawn, but you and I might not be there to see it. We may pass away in the darkness of this night. That is the reality.
Devotee: Pranam, Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Pranam.
