Namaskar. When I first came to Gurudev, I couldn't even tell what he looked like. I was in a terrible state—not only was I in physical pain, but I was also completely blind. I couldn't see anything. The people with Gurudev had to help me sit down and stand up. I couldn't even see where the idol of the Mother Goddess was. Every doctor I consulted told me I would never see again. But Gurudev… words fail me. Because of him, I am standing here today, and I can see the Mother Goddess with my own eyes. It is a miracle. I can see everyone here. I can now light candles and lamps for the Goddess with my own hands. No matter how much I praise Gurudev, it won't be enough. I urge everyone to visit him at least once and seek the Mother's blessings. I don't think you will find such peace anywhere else. The more I come here, the more I feel I need him. He is the one healing me.

What exactly was the medical issue with your eyes?
Devotee (Lady):
Due to high blood sugar, my retina was completely damaged. I lived in total darkness. My husband had to help me with everything—from sitting and standing to even putting on my shoes. I never thought I would be able to see Gurudev like this. But he told me, "You will see, I am telling you." He supported me in every way. He told me to go ahead with the surgery and to keep chanting the Mother's name. Today, the fact that I can see is entirely due to his grace.

What did the doctors say?
Devotee (Lady):
Doctors had given up hope. But at Disha Eye Hospital, Dr. Arnab Das decided to try one last time. He said, "Your back is already against the wall, so let's try one final effort." That final effort was guided by Gurudev.

Viewers, as you heard, where doctors had turned her away, she came to Gurudev. It was her faith and his blessings that worked. Gurudev, what would you like to say about this?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
What is there to say? When she first came to me, she couldn't even find her shoes. We had to help her put them on. She arrived on a scooter, and I remember we had to help her off it. She was crying uncontrollably, saying she would never see again because the doctors said her eyes were "dead." I comforted her. It might have sounded like a hollow consolation at the time, but I told her, "You will see, Mother." I performed some spiritual work on her eyes. Afterward, Dr. Arnab Das, whom she mentioned, decided to perform the surgery. We often find that when we perform spiritual work on "impossible" cases, the doctors' efforts suddenly become successful. That is what happened here. After the operation, her sight gradually returned. For someone who has seen the world and then suddenly plunged into darkness, there is no greater pain. I felt that pain.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
One day, she came back on her own and told me she could see. She described what she saw in detail, and I knew her sight was returning. However, because of the diabetes, as she regained one thing, she lost another—her kidneys are now affected. We need to work on that now. I have firm faith that the Mother Goddess will heal her kidneys too. I help everyone; I don't turn anyone away. It brings me great joy that she can see. This is what we call "Drishti Daan" (the gift of sight). It was the Mother who did it; it would be wrong for me to take the credit. She comes here now to offer her prayers, and she is doing much better.
