Host: Greetings, friends! A warm welcome to all the new viewers of the "Gupta Sadhok Shemakhepa" YouTube channel, and a request to our old friends to stay with us. On this late afternoon, Gurudev wishes to share some insights regarding the upcoming Bengali year. I invite you all to listen to what he has to say about the year ahead. Pranam (Salutations), Gurudev.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Pranam.
Host: In just a few days, the Bengali New Year 1429 will begin.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Yes, that's right. Currently, it is mostly celebrated here in West Bengal; we don't see it being observed in such a grand manner elsewhere. As Bengalis, we follow the year 1429. We adhere to it for all our auspicious occasions—weddings, memorial services, or first-rice ceremonies. Everything is done according to the panjika (almanac). We generally avoid following the English calendar for these things.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Even in our reckoning of time, we don't consider the day to start at midnight as the English calendar does. We count one day from sunrise to the following sunrise. The English system changes the date at 12:00 AM, which can be inconvenient for our calculations. So, specifically, we perform all our rituals based on the Bengali year.
Host: I see.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: There are various almanacs followed across different states in India. Here, we have the Gupta Press, Vishuddha Siddhanta, and Benimodhab Shil's Panjika, among others like PM Bagchi. People choose the one they prefer. We generally work with the Vishuddha Siddhanta, although there might be an hour's difference here and there compared to others.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Regarding the upcoming year 1429, it doesn't look like a very good year. Many supernatural events and new inventions will occur. While some things will be discovered for the betterment of humanity, there will also be massive storms, cyclones, and severe earthquakes. We are already seeing intense heat—it has reached 34-35 degrees Celsius here, but it might rise toward 50 degrees elsewhere. It is said that the heat will be so intense it could cause skin blisters.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: As the temperature rises, ice in Antarctica is melting rapidly, which will lead to a significant rise in sea levels. Scientists, including those from NASA, have warned that Kolkata could eventually be submerged. This has happened before in history, and it could happen again.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Politically, there will be a massive upheaval. The political situation will deeply affect the people. Looking at the current state of the ruling party (TMC), it reminds me of the conditions just before the fall of the CPM government. Based on those symptoms, I can say that this party's end may be near. It might even split this year.
Host: Those are your personal views, Gurudev. Perhaps we can focus on a message of hope or blessings for the New Year?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: But this is what the New Year holds! You cannot separate these events from the year itself. We are seeing a split within the party, and that will have consequences for Bengal this year. Along with natural disasters like earthquakes and storms, we will see political conflict and violence.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: The pressure from the High Court and the ongoing CBI investigations are mounting. This combined pressure will be significant. Additionally, the cost of living will skyrocket. We talk about the crisis in Sri Lanka, but I cannot say for sure that a similar situation won't happen here. Prices will rise beyond the reach of the common man. These are the things that will manifest this year.
Host: Given your spiritual powers, can nothing be done to mitigate this for the people of Bengal?
Guru Shyama Khyapa: We have tried various rituals, including the Maha Mrityunjaya prayers, for the welfare of the state. But given the current state of affairs, I don't see much improvement. It looks very similar to the transition period we saw years ago. My observations lead me to believe this party is in its final phase.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: On a broader scale, I hear that Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism) is spreading across the world. It's being said that many countries will come to believe in it. This is something that was predicted before—that there would be a surge in the influence of Hinduism. We are beginning to see that now.
Host: While that might be a positive for Sanatan Dharma, our focus today was on how the year 1429 will unfold.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: It will not be a good year. Illness and suffering will be prevalent, and even doctors might struggle to find cures. Many people come to me after doctors have given up. I always say, let the doctors do their work first, and only when they say they cannot do more do we apply spiritual interventions. We try our best to see if a life can be saved through spiritual means.
Host: Still, Gurudev, we hope you will pray for everyone's well-being.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: What is the point of giving false hope? I could say 1429 will be a wonderful year, people will feast and travel, but that would be a lie. What I see is very painful. We are constantly working for the welfare of people, performing rituals to keep the environment stable. We don't stop our efforts. But people also need to change. They need to surrender themselves to God and wish for the well-being of others.
Host: We have heard your predictions, Gurudev. If people can change their hearts and minds, perhaps we can seek God's blessings to navigate these difficult times.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: You are right to say that. Your well-being is in your hands. If you choose to do good, you will reap good results. You cannot do wrong and expect good things to happen. Change yourself, be devoted to God, and wish well for everyone. That is what we are doing.
Host: Thank you, Gurudev. We won't prolong this further. Pranam.
Guru Shyama Khyapa: Pranam.
