Friends, today our topic of discussion is Astrology and Astronomy. We would like to hear from Gurudev regarding these two. Pranam, Gurudev.

Devotee:
My question is about Astronomy and Astrology. These are two different things, but in today's world, people seem compelled to believe in Astrology. What is your take on this?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Listen, Astrology is unscientific, whereas Astronomy is scientific. There is a vast difference between the two. Astrology is baseless, but Astronomy has a foundation; it is purely scientific. I am not telling people not to practice Astrology, but look at what it says: "This might happen," or "That could happen." Nothing is stated with certainty.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
However, those who study Astronomy can say with certainty that something will occur. Based on Astronomy, we predicted a great calamity was approaching. We said it many times, but no one paid attention then. Now that it has happened, people from all over are messaging me, saying that what I said was 1,000% correct. We do not exist outside of science. Where there is no science, I am not there.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I heard that some organizations are holding seminars on this. I have also sent my name, though I don't know if I'll get a spot as it might be full. Regardless, the point is that Astrology is unscientific. Predicting things by looking at hands or horoscopes is not reliable.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
One reason horoscopes don't match nowadays is that a child is supposed to be born after ten months and ten days. Nowadays, births are forced at nine or nine and a half months via C-sections. This is a government policy—and a very bad one at that. A child does not develop fully unless the full term is completed. Instead, children are born based on antibiotics. From the moment of conception, antibiotics are used, which wasn't the case before. Furthermore, frequent ultrasounds are harmful to the child in the womb. A child will be born naturally after ten months and ten days, whether a doctor is present or not. But doctors scare people, saying vaccines are needed for this or that disease. This is just a bad policy.

Astrology lacks a scientific basis, but Astronomy is entirely scientific. Astronomers use high-end telescopes to observe the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Venus, and Mercury. They can determine their positions scientifically. This began way back in the 1700s. These people are called Astronomers. Astrology is not considered a science of stars. I do not believe in Astrology; I believe in Astronomy because it is the science of the stars. We must accept what is backed by science.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
There is much to say about Astronomy, and many great men have studied it. Their primary work was observing the Sun and Moon through telescopes. They knew about the particles surrounding the Sun and Moon. When we mentioned that the Moon turned red—the "Blood Moon"—we predicted there would be bloodshed. We have seen this Blood Moon many times and immediately declared that a bloody conflict would occur, resulting in many deaths. I said this based on Astronomy, not Astrology. I observe the Sun and Moon every day.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Currently, you can see Mars burning brightly in the western sky. We must observe these things and their connections to us. We must also look at the stars (Nakshatras). There were originally 28 Nakshatras, but one—the Abhijit Nakshatra—has died out. Now there are 27. These 27 Nakshatras cover the 30 or 31 days of the month in a cycle. Sometimes they align with Saturn, sometimes Rahu, Jupiter, or Venus. According to Astronomy, Jupiter is coming very close to Earth starting in May. We can calculate and say that Jupiter is coming to save the Earth. Its job is to protect the Earth; it absorbs all the large meteors that come our way.

We follow the science of stars because science is involved. But Astrology is not scientific, so I don't believe in it. Astrologers suggest wearing various stones, but many of those stones have no real value. A genuine Brazilian Emerald (Panna) costs between 200,000 to 250,000 rupees. Yet, these people sell "Emeralds" for 5,000 or 10,000 rupees. What kind of stone is that? It has no quality.

Take Coral (Pola), for example, which is meant to counteract Mars. The government has banned the mining of coral, so where is it coming from? They give you a certificate and tell you to check it at a lab, but it's all the same. A real Burmese Ruby or an Italian Coral costs lakhs of rupees. If someone sells you a stone for 10,000 rupees, you can imagine what it is. It's often just Burmese Ruby or Italian Coral made of plastic.

If you could actually wear authentic stones, I can say 100% that they would cure diseases. But just like an MBBS doctor might prescribe ten different medicines, Astrologers prescribe ten different stones. Usually, only two planets affect a person's body—one needs to be bolstered and the other suppressed. Yet, Astrologers prescribe ten worthless stones at once. If you go to a specialist, one medicine is enough. If you go to a general practitioner, they give you a thousand things, hoping one will work. Authentic stones like Burmese Ruby, Italian Coral, or Brazilian Emerald are hard to find. These stones are famous for their origins. People in India often end up buying glass, thinking it's a gemstone. The sellers make a huge profit—buying it for 2,000 and selling it for 50,000.

Gurudev, I have a question. When we go to an Astrologer, they look at our horoscopes and tell us to wear a certain stone to change our luck or get a job. But you say stones are mainly for curing diseases?
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
Not just diseases; they can help with poverty and other issues. But where will you find the authentic items? If I buy a "Brazilian Emerald" in India for 10,000 rupees, what do you think it is? Because people are uninformed, they are being cheated. They end up wearing five or six stones on their fingers. When people come to me, I tell them to take those stones off first. I don't believe in them. People are being sacrificed like goats because they don't know the truth.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
I work with the science of stars. I look at where the planets and stars are positioned. This is authentic and scientific. That is why I say those who practice Astrology should first study the science of stars. Observe the planets and their connections to the Nakshatras. As Khana used to say: "What is the Tithi, what is the day? The star is the essence." The 27 Nakshatras have a huge role. One planet might be influenced by three or four stars. Saturn has its stars, as do Jupiter, the Sun, and Venus. If a planet aligns with an opposing star, that's when trouble starts. These calculations are difficult, and few people can do them today.

Even the almanacs (Panjika) are giving wrong information now. We recently had a lunar eclipse that wasn't even mentioned in the almanacs. People called me asking why it wasn't there. This shows how misleading some almanacs have become.

Many people ask me: "Gurudev, when will Corona (COVID-19) go away?" I tell them that a star named Krittika will rise. It will appear on May 21st, on the day of the new moon (Amavasya). After that comes Rohini, the fourth Nakshatra. Krittika is the Sun's star. When this star rises, even if the virus doesn't leave the Earth, it will be severely weakened. It will lose its power.
Guru Shyama Khyapa:
In the Hadith, it is mentioned that a star called "Surayya" will rise. Surayya originates from the Sun, just like our Krittika. Surayya and Krittika are the same. It says that when Surayya rises—which is at the end of Ramadan—diseases will diminish. On May 21st, the new moon, Krittika will rise, followed by Rohini, the birth star of Krishna. This combination will break the back of the virus. This is my calculation based on Astronomy, not Astrology.

I am not insulting Astrologers, but I say study Astronomy. Don't just read two books and talk about how the 7th planet is looking at the 10th. Study the science of the stars. Real saints and Sufis of the past spoke about these things, and their words are proving true. Based on the Hadith, the Quran, and the science of stars, I can say that when Krittika rises on May 21st, the power of this disease will decline.

However, I must warn you that until May 21st, the situation is very dangerous. The virus could spread even more and take a larger form. People must remain cautious. As I said before, "Corona" (in Bengali) sounds like "Don't mingle much." That was the medicine for it. But people aren't following it, so it's increasing. But mark my words, by May 21st, when Krittika and Rohini align, the virus will be subdued.

Gurudev, one last question. What is the current position of the planets like Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn?

From what we have calculated, this is a deadly disease. I said a long time ago that a time would come when people would be afraid to touch each other and bodies would lie in the streets. I didn't say it directly then because people might have mocked it. But now that people are in trouble, the truth is coming out. According to the Hadith, the star Surayya—the Sun's star—will rise. It rises on May 21st, the day of the new moon. From that day on, the virus will lose its strength. That is why I say May is a dangerous month until the 21st. People must be careful.

Once Krittika and Rohini appear, the back of this virus will be broken. It will not be able to spread as it has. This is my calculation.
